Helping a friend of mine on his Hoyt charger bow. we are getting new string and cables for it. he does not know the model year of the bow. how do I find that out? Tried calling Hoyt customer service but they say they are out all week for the unveiling of 2016 bows. can I just go off the string and cable lengths on the bow to get the correct set of strings and cables or do I need the model year. I figure model year will make a difference on the servings on the strings and cables. this bow does use a plastic cable slide

Lengths listed on bow should be correct, 2013 charger had metal limb pockets, 2014 came with plastic limbpockets , and 2015 is only model that had a Flo green string, and black cables from the factory, don't think thread length changed thru the years tho

Ok this one looks to have plastic limb pockets. The string and cables on this is are green/brown. he bought it new and said string was original. so i should be good going with a 2014 model and use the same string and cable lengths on the the tag on the bow correct?

If i remember right they tweaked the cam profile after the first year due to string seperation issues

If you can find a use one get a 13 or up. If i remember 12 was the first year. They did release their new budget bow today. Looks pretty good

Looked at specs for charger. There is no difference in string lengths between the year. There are 2 cam choices, whats his draw lengtg set at? There should be a label on the limb with string specs as well

Tag says draw length 29. String 54.25. buss cable 32.75. Control cable 37. We are getting 60x strings. Just saw on his site the charger has the same lengths for all years. Just didn't know which year to go with. I figure year will make a difference on the serving lengths on the sting and cables?

I still not 100% sure it is if it is for sure a 2014 model or not. No one has confirmed that it is like buck nutty said above. Buck nutty or anyone else can you tell me which year this Hoyt charger is so I can get the correct string and cables? this one looks to have plastic limb pockets. Go off the tag. All of the years have same length strings/cables
