Just looked at their website, they are advertising the G2 version new for 2016 so I would assume they are still producing it.
The G2 has a longer screw thread to make it easier to take bows down.

I have both the Bowmaster and Synunm and both are excellent field press and a home quick press though the Synunm is a bit quicker.

The synunm bow press looks to be so simple and easy to use!! What am I missing? Are there any bows that you cannot use this for? For how easy it looks why would you not want to use this press? I am asking because I don't know. I have always wanted a press to do simple repairs and adjustments. I have a Halon 6 and a Chill, would it work on these?

Let me recommend you go to www.nitehawkarchery.com and look at our press. It presses all bow and even crossbows.

It is the safest press you can own.

1. It clamps to the limbs and becomes an extension of your bows limbs.
2. It presses down the center of the limbs so both sides of the limb is pressed equally. If you press from the side the inside 1/2 of the limb is presses further.
3. You press at the tips of the limbs.
4. You can adjust the press for both narrow and wide limbs.
5. You have infinite control of the pressing process using the turnbuckle. This is extremely important when releasing the press.
6. You will never have to buy adapters or fingers. It comes complete
7. You can change cams while the bow is in the press because the limbs are pressed equally.

I have the Synumn press. I love it. It is VERY fast, simple and adjustable. It can press literally anything, including beyond parallel limbs. I use it for my Prime Alloy and Defiant Turbo. I can press my limbs in less than 10 seconds. Packs up extremely well. I don't even have a mounted press and have no intention of getting one because this thing works so well for me. It is even approved by Hoyt to press the Defiant with its wide radius hooks. Can't go wrong IMHO.

The synunm press....what happens if you start releasing the tension and forgot to lock the string in the groove? Will it automatically locked itself or just explode? Also do you guys have any problems with the ropes tangling?

the Synumn is not safe for bows like the Defiant Turbo with limb tips beyond parallel at brace. sooner or later it will bite you.
They are releasing adapters to handle bows like the Defiant.

If you release the rope without setting it through the brake, it will completely unload. It is very easy to release the tension in the system, ridiculously easy. It's a 5:1 system, I believe so you don't have to put very much effort into pressing or releasing. If you twist the ends, the ropes will tangle but it isn't an issue functionally. It looks like a mess but it will still do its job. It is pretty easy to realign if it gets tangled. The only downfall I've seen is it is more difficult to change or twist strings than a fixed press in that you have to work around the rope while being cogniscent of how the forks travel slightly downward. This affects how and where you place the forks in relation to the string and cables.
