Just seen this company I believe is out of China that is called topoint and their bows look like a Mathews. Same grips, reverse roller guard ect. Anyone else see this. And how is that possible.
Out of Country company. However, they may be, or should be, illegal to sell here in the USA?To me they clearly are copied. Just looking at them it looks like a cheaped out version of a Mathews. I just don't see how it's possible to have some of those features when there is a patent on them.
Kinda like the guys building presses at home with items that are covered under patents by Last Chance Archery? To me they clearly are copied. Mathews would have to go after distributors, retailers, etc, etc, etc. There is not much they can do about the parent company as long as China continues to thumb their collective noses at Patent law.Out of Country company. However, they may be, or should be, illegal to sell here in the USA?
Actually....It would be like guys building presses at home that are covered by LCA patents and SELLING them. There is no patent law that keeps one from building their own press or bow for that matter.Kinda like the guys building presses at home with items that are covered under patents by Last Chance Archery?
Actually, patent law does cover folks building stuff at home that is covered by patents, even if only for personal use......but no MFG would try to go after someone building just for home, the only folks that would win would be the lawyers.....A comment on the bows.....the thing is junk. I have never seen a bow that had such a visibly crappy draw cycle in a video. Also...it was 25 fps slower. Maybe they need to spray a little WD40 in those bearings.
My bet is anyone who would drop the coin on that contraption would be extremely displeased with their decision.

Point taken....and based on LCA's past zeal I would suspect they would knock on doors and check for infants 2 years old or younger.Actually, patent law does cover folks building stuff at home that is covered by patents, even if only for personal use......but no MFG would try to go after someone building just for home, the only folks that would win would be the lawyers.....
I've noticed that around half of the ads I see for hunting products sold through US companies, show something cheap or messed up.Ha I just googled the company and I feel like I need to do true AT comment.
I would never buy from a company were the photo on their home page is of someone shooting with the worst form ever. He is gripping the bow and the draw length is way to long. Look at the lean back. The arrow is at least 1 inch to long. HAHAHA sorry.

I knew it would only be a matter of time before this happened. So many folks are gonna get screwed by this trying to save a few dollars. If you look at their website they have another bow that kinda looks like a cheap copy of a Nitrum too..... And it doesn't stop there, cheap copies of QAD HDX, TruGlo quivers, multiple broadhead copies and other stuff... Makes me sick
I especially feel bad for the people that are gonna see this company online and think its a legit bow manufacturer and buy into it thinking they are getting something worth their moneyI knew it would only be a matter of time before this happened. It's possible, but I doubt it. What most Chinese companies do is get a real one and laser scan it and have their own 3D CAD to machine it from.So Mathews is getting their aluminum profile extruded in China? I see on the company website they use exactly same aluminum profile and then just cut to pieces and machine. So what is this telling me Mathews is getting their stuff from China and this guy knows where exactly and buy same aluminum profile.
True. But they need to pay to a aluminum making company to make a die to extrude this shape. And most of the time die is the most expensive tool you buy to start making your product. And I don't think they want to pay for that. It's possible, but I doubt it. What most Chinese companies do is get a real one and laser scan it and have their own 3D CAD to machine it from.
