Leupold BX-2 Tioga 10x42 (Discontinued as of this year): $239

Vortex Diamondback 10x42: $229

Leupold BX-2 Alpine 10x42 (New as of this year): $249

Not really looking for other suggestions unless its within this price range. Just seeing if anyone has any comparisons or experiences with any of these binos, especially the new Alpines.

Can’t comment on the other 2 brands. I have the Diamondbacks in 10x42 and I think they’re great can’t beat the price or the warranty.

Yep. Same here although I really like 10x50. They are bit bulky for hunting but, man, are they nice. I own both.

I would go Leupold. Vortex has the most used warranty in the business for a reason.

I love my BX-4 pro guides. Amazing glass. I used to have the green ring cascades 10x42 and those were great glass too.
Any proof of that?

Go to any bino retailer and ask what brand they send back most. I recently bought new binos and looked at vortex and couple local dealers both said "most used warranty in the business" so I stayed with Leupold. Ive been seeing some vortex bino failures posted on hunting forums lately. With that being said i have some vortex products: spotter, rangefinder and couple scopes. No issues.

do some research on bird watching forums

I have the leupold bx-2 Acadia for some years in 10x42 and really like them. Also have the same but in 12x50 also love them. All my rifle scopes are also Leupold. Only vortex is the 18x56 and also like them.
The 2 leupold binos I have beat the snot out of them / well so on my rifle scopes, an never had any problems. My vortex they are only for tripod hunting so they have a much easier life.

Go with what ever better deal you can afford. ——-by the way, theres a member selling a pair of leupolds 10x50 on the forum for cheaper than the binos of intrest, great buy an youd help out a member

I like looking for deals on discontinued Bino and LRF Models when the New and improved model comes out.

Vortex for sure! You can't beat them for the price and their warranty is great!

Part of the "most used warranty in the industry" is because they are the most popular optics company in outdoor industry. More products out in the field = more chances of failure (through abuse and manufacture defect)... So that statement you can almost guarantee is skewed.

Can't agrue with that. Companies don't really advertise or publicly quantify their warranty claims so nearly impossible to give a % of failures. Vortex makes decent glass. I personally went with Leupold on binos after checking them both out extensively. I did have a warrant claim on my last leupolds but it was my fault. Leupold took care of it without question or cost so their warranty is great too.

I would personally look for some used Vortex Vipers or used Leupold BX-3’s. They can be found for just a bit more than the options you listed.
Both of those are noticeably better than your listed options, IMO. Again, that’s just purely my opinion. In the end though, you have to make the choice that makes you happy performance wise and financially.
Best of luck and I hope you get a pair of binos that you enjoy!

if you can find a pair of Bushnell Legend Hd's pick them up. they range from 199.99-249.99 usually.
