I currently use the free version and I like it. I'm curious about those that have used the paid version. I understand you can edit and save maps, share waypoints.
Can you set a waypoint by dropping a pin for a spot you want to navigate to?
Was the paid version worth it, I mean besides the parcel data you get?

Yes it is.

Absolutely worth the money! Gives access to landowner information and property boundaries.

I've been using the free version for a couple years, while my hunting buddy bought the full version. They both call up the same on our very similar phones, but mine just shows land mass while his shows private and public boundaries, plus landowner information. Since we have been scouting local public land for spring turkey hunting, it is really nice to know where boundaries happen to lie. Some private land owners are very active in posting or using fences, while others are not. We would never purposefully trespass, but it is easy to wander across the edge of unposted private as trails do not run perfect N/S or E/W. Plus other features.....I'm going to upgrade soon.

It's 30 bucks. I'd pay 30 bucks just to get out of an "oops, didn't realize I was on private property" conversation with a game warden or land owner, so why not just pay that to avoid a lot of them?

For a free option the Hunstand app has worked well for me. It shows property boundaries and you can look up landowner info on 10 properties a month for free. But as far as Onx goes I've never heard anyone say they regret spending the $30 on the paid version.

I have the $30 version of onX and won't be without it. I've been using it to scout a new to me 5800 acre game area and my onX is a blessing with the distance measuring, waypoint, etc. The weather conditions and forecast are great also.
