love my rips but switched the outserts for some ethics archery stainless steel outserts.

I loved my airstrikes but never got into building my own
A shop built them for me
Problem is they didn’t spin or square them. When u go to do these things u will find a bit of a wobble to them
At least I did with my 6
I suppose u could probably take it out with some adjustments. Surprisingly I never broke a single air strike though which is something that always happens with my old arrows
Killed 3 deer last season
I guess moral of this story should be get an arrow spinner and a squaring device and make sure they all spin good and don’t wobble. If they do then correct it with the rotation of the the insert/outsert before gluing.

The problem is the components at one point will bend no matter what when its an outsert system... I shoot heavy set ups and eventually they all bend Ethics outsert or not. I am shooting about 500 grains w/ stainless insert @ 80# so its harder on the arrows and components. I have found that it wasn't too hard to heat them up and pull and reinsert a new outsert. I tried the Ethics sleeve AND outsert but they are super tight for the RIP TKO so you have to really sand them, it sucked enough I probably wouldn't do it again. The OD of the shaft and sleeve are .004 off and its fair amount of sanding (like you need a drill) to get them to fit like they should. I recently purchased some VAP TKO w/ the aluminum outset & sleeve and these fit the best IMO. Primarily because the OD of the shafts are close and you have to sand much much less than the .204 RIP. The aluminum by itself sucks but with a sleeve they have been money! The difference in penetration in my targets is substantial. Probably matters very little in an animal but I am loving my VAP TKO once I went to a sleeve and outsert!

Full disclosure, have only shot the airstrike out of that group, but so far so good. They don't use an outsert, they use inserts with a shock collar type thing that helps spread out the impact so that your insert and arrow don't take the brunt of it. They are machined to very tight tolerances relatively speaking and seem to be very accurate.

I would have to build some myself but the ones that they guy who works at the shop built pretty good wobble. Probably shot fine but not the best influence on me for the price. But I have heard more good than bad about them. outsert and sleeve is the best for longevity and strength from what I have seen.

I do have about 3 of them out of the dozen that I can't get tuned into shoot with the rest of the lot. I haven't spun them but I will check and see if that's the issue. I know earlier in the release of this arrow, they had some of the outserts not machined to the correct dimensions and it caused issues but supposedly that is taken care of now.

That is a pricey arrow.

yeah I don't think any arrow is worth what I paid ...but I do really like them ..I had Firenock fletch them with AeroVane II's
install 12 lighted FireNocks and install Titanium half outserts ..I still feel the sting to this day ...this is first year hunting with them so we will see how they do in the woods ....

A friend of mine just bought some pre-built Airstrikes for $110/6. First time he shot them one of the collars/halfout came out [emoji46].
