Looking for a new bino harness and have seen a couple of Youtube videos on the Marsupial Gear harness. I was wondering if anyone on here has tried them out and how did they preform for you?

I've had one for about a month now and have used it quite a bit in that time. I like how slim it is and for me it has a just right level of pockets/straps to hang other items from. The drawbacks I've found are: the magnets are a little loud if you're not very careful about closing the top, the magnets will affect your compass unless you hold the compass at fully extended arms reach away from harness, and the sides of the pack have very large openings that are not closed off with the lid closed. This last one is a big problem as in my usage in heavy brush my binoculars have been covered in forest detritus when I've pulled them out to use them (like eyepieces completely obscured and pack itself full of needles, leaves, etc. I haven't gotten the chance to try it in heavy rain in the rainforest (where it will be used during hunting season), but it seems likely they will let too much moisture in.

In summary, I think it is a well made, well-designed binocular pack with the exception of the unfortunately large gaps on the sides of it. I'm thinking of sewing some material in place to block those holes or I may try something else.

Have owned a bunch of them searching for the best and landed on Marsupial. Easily the best on the market IMO. I love it and have no reason to change. My Swaro ELs fit perfectly - also use RF pouch. Can maybe post pic later when I have time.

I have one and LOVE it!! Very comfortable to wear and easy one-handed operation when needed to get your binocs out and look with a gun or bow in your hand. Two thumbs up, five stars...

I have swaro 10X32 EL binocs.
They are obviously smaller than the 10 or 8x42 that many use.
How would this work on my smaller binocs?
Thanks

You'll have some extra space inside the pack for maps or your phone or whatever with binocs that small. But the pack seems so small to me that a little extra space is just fine. The interior lining is a reasonably soft fuzzy material (super technical term) and I doubt you'd find the binoculars would rattle around at all.

As a follow-up, I have the latest offered - purchased last year (maybe around this time) and hunted with last fall. As mentioned, I've owned a few others including ACG. ACG is too bulky, I hate the way the flap comes up (and thus in the way) instead of folding down and out of the way like the Marsupial and the ACG doesn't have separate straps that attach to the binos. So the binos are either free (to be dropped, set down and lost or whatever). Marsupial they are attached which should be a basic requirement frankly. It also allows you to just lay the binoculars against outside of pack if you need your hands in a hurry vs. trying to reinsert the binos (have done it quite a few times). I sold my ACG after some testing - just not ideal IMO and I'd buy the Marsupial 10 times out of 10 over the ACG.

As for the magnet, it is only loud if you are completely careless and let it snap into place from a distance. I never had any issues with it even in dead quiet hunting conditions with deer in range. And I never had any issues with my cell phone or other electronics - that is way overblown - someone looking for a problem that doesn't exist. As for camo, mine is in Multicam and there is no better camo - plus, frankly it's small enough that I can't believe anyone could seriously be concerned about the camo pattern on a bino pack. As for the sides being exposed - only slightly. The top of your binos are totally covered and lenses protected. It would take a lot to get any debris into the small side openings - never had a problem with it - and it keeps your binos from fogging up on you.

Again, it's just a bino holder and they all "work" fine but my experience having tested them is that the Marsupial can't be beat.

I have one and like it, I think its perfect for spot and stalk, but for still hunting whitetails I use and prefer the Rick Young harness.

I have a few of their pouches, good stuff. Have you looked into the Parashooter Point Man bino rig? Really modular platform, similar to the new Sitka rig but the molle is real molle.

For those that have them, are they the new Traverse model?
I wasn't clear what you were asking here but I stumbled across the Traverse harness on Muley Freaks website and it looks like a decent option if the magnets worry you. I do like a lot of the features on it although it doesn't appear they ever came out with the rangefinder holder they talk about in a couple of youtube video reviews on the harness. That's not so great because using the side pouch as the one guy did requires two hands to place the RF back in the pocket and you need to be able to do that with one hand while holding bow in the other. I supposed you might be able to fit another RF holder from a different company onto the harness. It's also a little taller than it needs to be unless you are using really big binos - don't love that - would be better if they had at least 2 sizes.

I got an Adak a few months ago, really like it. Very minimalist and quiet. I got tired of the bulky AGC, although it's bullet-proof, I prefer the Adak.

I just about bought one and went with the mystery ranch instead. It’s perfect. The Kuiu pro looks real nice too. They’re all super similar, basically draw straws on those three. The MR has a taller front pouch though which can be handy.
