WOW, sounds like the Ravin is the bow of choice right now.

thinking this through...prob the best package would be a ravin r29x with a Halo X when they come out.

fast at 350 and light weight as can be with electo optics on board. Not reall sure what the Halo weighs but i know its 2 pounds like the other 2 models, That Gamin and Burris has.

The comment about the arrow slightly sliding forward when the xbow is pointed down sounds to me like they didn't back wind or didn't back wind enough, my local bow shop guy said he sees alot of ravins come in with broken strings, no warning, no signs of a problem, just break on the shot, I'll take ten point any day of the week, the noise and vibration on the shot make ravin awkward to me, but alot of guys love them, I can respect that whatever works for you Is all that matters

I wonder why none of the Ravin owners here and on CBN are reporting this string breakage problem then.

Left my old TenPoint Stealth XLT cocked for 6 months some years ago. Thought it would be toast. All I had to do was adjust my scope. Likely lost a few FPS (never got it checked). So because of my history with Tenpoint and because to me they are "more pretty" I'd likely go with the TenPoint. Now, if I had a friend that let me shoot his Ravin... who knows. I think the best way to decide is to shoot both (in a hunting situation) and then decide.

well now i have both the Ravin 29x and the Tenpoint vapor Garmin...so I can really find out the truth of which one is better.

the Ravin R29X is significantly lighter, you certainly don't need a scale to verify this.
the Vapor absorbs much more of the recoil on the shot because of the weight.
The trigger on the Ten Vapor moves and then has a nice break to it. Again the bow weight makes the trigger pretty decent. I feel the Tenpoint trigger is finally there, Its good enough for anything I would ever need.
My very limited shooting time with the Vapor is giving me same arrow same hole accuracy at 20 yards off the bench.
More to come when I get free from the the chains of my employer.

So..adding the the Garmin to the R29x leaves you with carrying weight of 9 lbs 2 oz.

Thats really sweet for waht your getting withis package.

Heck i have had a few bows that hit close to 11 pounds with a small scope on it.

Neither, too costly fer me. Too heavy, spect they be fast enuff but in this case its moot pt. Indian shooting does the job. I reckon my slowest does not have a problem killing tick toters out to 60 yds. All i can say is spend on my friends

You been drinking a lot? I'm so, confused by that post. Or maybe I'm drinking to much to understand it lol

I'll try to help ya out....

Both bows are too expensive/not worth the money to him. He thinks they're too heavy, but they're fast, however, that doesn't matter because a hold over works just fine for him. His slowest xbow is likely powerful enough to kill a deer at 60yds. Enjoy spending your money folks.

How'd I do? ;-)

Yes it did, I didn't know what Indian shooting was or tick toter was but now I sure do and totally get it now lol
