I have been hunting with a compound bow for years and this year I’m going to try a crossbow for rifle/ late season here in PA. I’m trying to decide between the Wicked Ridge Rampage 360 and the Barnett Whitetail Hunter STR. Give me the pros and cons and what you would go with. The Barnett is priced at $380 and the Wicked Ridge is $440. Appreciate the help.

Poor craftsmanship or what?
So i shot it 2 times and it exploded on me. I sent it back and they repaired it and it exploded on me again after one shot. The second time I got hit in the face(close to the eye) . They refused to refund my money but said they would repair it. I would not shoot it again so it went in the burn pile.

Their quality control isn't the best. Just saying we repaired more Barnett crossbows than all the rest put togeather. Limbs, strings/cables, triggers. As far as company we never had issues about warranties.
Some will never be a problem but that is not the norm.
Stay away from Wildgame crossbows also as they are made by Barnett. They are even cheaper and more mass produced than Barnett. They are just bad all together. Stick with Wicked Ridge even if it means you have to pay a couple hundred more dollars
