I just killed my first black bear and I'm looking for 3/4 mount ideas with scenery. I'd love to see some pics.

Don't have a pic (father in law gave to nephew when moving) but his was a 3/4 walking out onto a log. Some ferns and stuff around the log if I recall correctly. Looked pretty sweet. The back sat flush against a wall.
Congrats on the bear! This isn't my bear but I like the mount below. I went bear hunting for the 2nd time in October and was doing some research. I really like the full body mounts but they are expensive. Here is a site for some more ideas NA Black Bears

Of course we will have different tastes, but I don’t like shoulder/3/4 or full body on bear, rugs look better because 99% of taxis will make a bear look bad… animated

Have it coming out of the wall front legs extended out with claws, and bear head snarling showing teeth with ears back...Ive always liked that mount...
A couple that have caught my eye from Google searched of my own.....the second and third are very popular, can't remember the form, but any taxi who does bear likely has experience with it and the habitat can obviously be changed some to meet your needs. Looking at your bear, I thin it would look GREAT on the last form...you can mount it just about anywhere, even low with the habitat on the floor....I have seen that form many times I personally believe mounted low is OUTSTANDING...might scare teh crap out of pets if you have them though. I personally like the first mount the best, but think it needs one heck of a bear to achieve the effect captured in the pic. I've only ever seen two bear that big in PA and both were in the spring when we can't hunt them.....

I have a rug mount, and a tanned hide. Really like my tanned hide. You can either lay over recliner chair, which I did. Or a safe looks great. Or hang from ceiling, coat rack.
