This bow arrived at the shop yesterday... along with 2 other Resurgence that were ordered for customers. (4 string sets for other bows came in too) I had to get that work done before I could play with this one.... I'm sorry if this is lacking details but, it's all I had time for and I'm tired... (it's 11pm as I sit down to type this)

The Bow:

I ordered the bow with 60# limbs and it came factory preset to 29".

My thoughts:

- I got it out of the box and confirmed my thoughts on the color/camo. (Desert Tan/Fred Bear Throwback) I really like it. The finish is as good as anything else at this price point. The bow and limbs are good but there was a little discoloration on the string stop that appears to be from where the shaft was pushed through the the riser.

- I threw on a biscuit, loop and put it in the draw board. The actual draw length is 29 1/8" and measured draw weight is 60.9# on my scale. The ATA measured 32 1/16" and Brace Height was dead on 6 1/2".

- The bow feels light at 4.2# (I couldn't find an advertised mass weight)

- The draw cycle is smooth with a little bit of a dump into the valley.

- The Valley is short but completely shootable as is. I think with a little tinkering, I could improve it a bit.

- Even with a very slight bit of feedback on the shot (I think this will go away with the installation of a damper/stab)

- The rubber grip they added to the Resurgence riser is comfortable and repeatable. I think it's an improvement.

- I shot it through the chronograph with 2 different weight arrows Average speed with a 370gr arrow 270.4 (269/271/271/271/270) and 249.2 (248/249/250/249/250) with a 450gr arrow.

Conclusion:
It's a solid bow for the money! If you're on a budget, it's worth a good look!!!

It's nice I'm gonna wait till bass pro gets a few and shoot them. It's #1 on my list if potential bows.

Nice. I might get one just to play with and to support some hard working guys. Thanks for the review!

is the riser machined?
No, it is a cast riser. If you look at the pictures you can see the seam lines from the casting mold (as well as other casting flaws). This is one issue I have with Bear, they don't take the time to really finish the riser before painting/dipping. The casting flaws are all over the place, and quite rough on certain individual bows. Some are really bad. We got in, and returned, three Legits in their light grey before we finally got one that we felt we could sell. It's one thing on a $3-400 bow, but really not good on a bow over $500. This is one area that Diamond does exceedingly better than Bear on.

Thanks for the review. How do the Adapt and Whitetail Legend compare ? I am looking for a new bow and theses two caught my attention. Thanks
The Whitetail Legend Pro is faster... and shoots great. I've only worked on one WLP so I have limited experience with the bow. But, based on that experience, it's a great bow for the $$$.

The Whitetail Legend (Non - Pro version) has the same speed rating as the Adapt at 1" less of ATA length. (I haven't had the chance to work with one of these.) I suspect it will give you a similar shooting experience.

What is the bottom cam lean like out of the box? My species came out of the box with the bottom cam lean so far over the cable was rubbing the cam.
I haven't had to make a single adjustment for lean on an Adapt yet. I've only sold 3 of them so my sample size is limited.

I've had to play with yokes on a few Cruzers to get them tuned.
