Newest rumor on the buck is Illinois department of conservation has confiscated the buck. Someone came forward saying they have the shooter on camera and he shot the buck illegally. I’m not sure how true the rumor is…..this should be interesting and I was leery from the get go. No field pics, no trail camera pics, and no video of the deer. Several family members gave different stories on the comments where it was first posted. Some family members say the shooter has been after the buck for two years. Another family member said the shooter has been after the buck for 5 years and has trail camera pictures of it. Also the shooter doesn’t have any prior year sheds from what I’ve read.

No previous sheds and no cam pics throws up ZERO red flags for me. The families story changing a little, maybe, but they could be protecting the location of the kill for their reasons. If I dont have the sheds or pics from my buck from last year it isnt real?
No but the shooter is saying he has 5 years worth of trail camera pics. Some of his family is confirming it and then other family is saying it’s 2 years worth of trail camera pictures. No sheds and not a single trail cam pic has been posted. No field pictures posted either. His family already have the location on where it was shot. County, town name, road name etc….I don’t see those comments anymore, so they must have deleted them. They were in with over 1,000 comments on a posting.

I’m not saying it’s not legit. It’s just a little odd. We shall see how this unfolds. If I shoot a deer tomorrow it’ll be going to the same meat locker. I’ll see if they will share any info. I live very close to it.
