What’s your favorite bino harness and why?

I used a friends Kuiu harness (L size) and liked it but my Nikon Prostaff 7s (8x42) would not fit without collapsing them to the narrowest eye position. I also would like a place for my rangefinders.

I’m looking at the the Alaska Guide Creations Classic Chest pack…my concern is: is it too big for bow hunting?

I have an FHF, Marsupial and an AGC. I have used them all a lot for out west spot & stalk hunting. I prefer the AGC as for me it’s more user friendly and more comfortable. I always carry a pistol in a Razco holster as well and it seems to distribute the weight better than the other two. I found it harder to get my binos out of the Marsupial on a stalk or if I left the lid open then they sometimes fell out. The FHF & AGC I can leave the strap unhooked and not have those issues. That’s just my experience but they are all good quality

I have an older Alaska Guide Creations harness and picked up the Marsupial No Mag Enclosed harness this year. I like the Marsupial a little bit more. It's a little more streamlined and I think the forward opening is more intuitive.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of the modern day harnesses. The biggest question I'd answer is do you want it to open to the front or open towards the back.

Marsupial Gear... well-thought out, well-built, multiple compatible accessories, simple yet functional and effective and made in America.

I use a FHF Chest Harness with the bino bucket. I can fit my BX-4 pro 8x42 and my range finder inside the chest harness and still have room for other stuff without issue. The only thing that can be a hassle is the zipper closure. I knew that when I bought it, so it’s not a big deal for me.

....and another for Marsupial - besides being able to get the size you need and fit and finish is great, i like the side pockets for cheater glasses, arrow lube, wrenches, etc.. add a range finder pack on tha side, or add a pistol holster on the bottom - its just very user friendly, versatile, and comfortable

I've tried Badlands, AGC, Kuiu, and a few minimalist style bino holders, and plan to give Marsupial a try. The Kuiu has been my favorite so far as it holds the binos up on my chest much further than any of the others. I just don't like how it opens, I always snag my binos on the lid as I'm trying to get them out. Lid always pops back over the edge even with the tethers loosened. I already have the Marsupial rangefinder pouch and love how the lid opens. I think Marsupial is going to be the one I like the best from what I've seen so far.

I have an Alaskan Guide. My 8x42 fit a little sloppy, 10x42 fit nice. I wish it opened front instead of back. Also it’s not water proof. If our in the rain, it will soak through and get binos wet. Also the material is very loud. On a calm day, I feel like a kid opening a candy wrapper in a library. Every touch to it makes that hard canvas rub noise. I like the string/ hook closure very easy to operate one handed. I’m actively looking for an alternative myself.
