It’s about time to replace the felt on my arrow rest. Instead of felt, has anyone tried PlastiDip? It seems it would last at least a little bit longer than felt. Not sure if it would produce any noise, though.

Plastidip would likely squeak and would have a little “grip” which could cause issues. I’ve started using athletic tape (or hockey tape) and it works excellent! Really durable and super quiet

I have used Plastic dip for over 10 years & have not had any noise when drawing arrow on it & it holds up way better than the felt!

Duct tape camo colored! Wrap 4 times and done! Or a piece of carpet! 😎

it’s a joke!

Hobby lobby has stick felt thin enough to do that

I've got some rubber pistol grip material that I use to silence the shelf and rest cage. I thought about using it on the launcher arm but was worried about the drag/grip from it.

Look up ultra high molecular weight (uhmw) tape on amazon

it's all i use on my qad and hamskea

it is made of dyneema, is very thin, and is as slick as teflon

one piece will last years, in fact i've never replaced a piece other than changing rests or bows

it is quiet if it is clean and your arrows are clean (a lot of people don't clean arrows and wonder why they are loud), but i go ahead and during hunting season wipe a little soft string wax on the tape a few times....just as quiet as felt but if you sometimes bang your arrow around during the draw then it probably isn't for you as it isn't quiet to impact, only sliding

on a qad, it works better to cut two pieces (one per prong) and then have them meet in the middle. if done slightly carefully, then the arrow only touches tape because the arrow radius is larger than that at the bottom of the rest. this prevents loose tape at the bottom
