I was going to post in the Reveal mega-thread that was previously pinned, but not sure what happened to it?

Does anyone have experience with the Reveal lithium battery pack? I would really like to stop chucking batteries in the garbage at the end of each season and buying new. I hang my cameras a few states away, so I need confidence the packs will last. I have enough of a sample size over a couple years to know lithium batteries will last June -- January.

Agree with Solar panel, I ran three of the Reveal X cameras from August thru mid December. All three had Lithium AA batteries and a tactacam reveal Solar panel.
The status was always at 100% battery life except a couple mornings in December when we were in the Single digits but even then it showed 80 and 90% but was back to 100% coipke days later as weather warmed to the 20’s.

I run one SK set on instant and the battery stays at 50% on these cloudy Wisconsin winters. On my other Tactacams I am using Energizer Max and get 3-4 months during winter and with Energizer Lithium around a month more depending how much activity a camera gets. This is with the cameras set to send twice daily. Solar or a 12v fish finder battery is the way to go if you want to avoid changing batteries or lithium packs every 3-6 months. With either method one should be visiting their cameras every 6 months or so to make sure the batteries aren’t gassing, getting rid of bugs, etc and ruining the camera in the long run.

I bought 2 of the lithium packs after using energizer lithium batteries last year. The tactacam packs do not last as long as the batteries do. 1 of my packs had to be pulled and recharged twice which was irritating. At the moment I have 1 of the cartridges sitting on my bench trying to figure out why it won't take a charge! It's only been charged twice.

The solar panel is by far the best option. However, at least for me it runs the risk of being eaten by bears as that panel really sticks out on the tree.
The lithium packs are really hit and miss. I bought 3 last season. Two were superb. Better life than alkys for sure. 1 was a dud. It only had 300 pics on that cam and it went from 100 to 20%.
Lithiums are by far the best option as far as life goes without a solar panel, but you'd have to be a millionaire to run them
