For those of you that use the Accustat scope, what light are you using?

I put one on over the winter and am pretty happy with everything but the light. I had an old TruGLO blue light laying around and screwed it on, but it is worthless. (the light isn't the best obviously, but it does work fine with my other sights/pins)

I see Lancaster sells a screw in light, just like the TruGLO, but it is listed for Axcel. I'm wondering what the difference is between it and the universal lights....excepting the threads to mount.

Check to see if the end of the fiber is in the scope ring mounting post, it makes a difference especially for the screw in hunting style lights.
it is, and I'm thinking it may be too close to the threaded end of the post. The light is not hitting the fibers directly. But, it is as it was from Axcel, so I'm guessing it is as it is supposed to be.

I started using the Viper Charge Rheostat sight light per someone's recommendation on here a few years ago. Man it works well! I don't dig the white cap on it so I took a black sharpie to it, but it's got 3 levels of brightness to it and the rechargable battery in it last's a pretty good while.

Whoops almost forgot the link to it, Viper Charge Rheostat Sight Light – Lancaster Archery Supply

Just as a fyi for those that may run into the same thing....there must be something about the cheap truglo lights....maybe the beam width? Because it didnt light the pins. Even though it works fine on some of my other sights.
