I took a very long hiatus from Archery Talk.
I used to live on this site.
This is my first post in a very long time. And yes I’m choosing to post about Mitch Rompola
A few months ago I joined a fb group called Mitch Rompola fan page.
There were only a few members at first but it gained a lot of followers.
Some were so called internet forensic image analysis taxidermist, critiquing pics from 1998. They don’t last long on the site because all they have is the droopy ear argument. Now, I’m not looking to get into a debate about it here on AT.
What I am here to say is, that fb page has brought so many more bits of info to the forefront.
Much of what is said on Archery Talk isn’t even close to the truth.
•The deer did not burn in a fire.
•Mitchs first critic and biggest opposition was sighted for spotlighting and killing deer. (That’s a fact)
•Lots of info shared by others on the not so legit hunting practices of John Eberhart. (I’ll clarify that it was by other guys that know John not me)
•The actual scorers who haven’t waivered in 25 years.
•A guy at the butcher shop that helped weigh the deer.
•A bus driver who saw it on the hoof.
•The actual truth about the X-ray demands.
•A letter from the CO that was a witness.
If you are a non believer you will show your true colors on here or if you join the site on fb.
If you decide to join the site and can’t maintain a mature adult debate you will be banned rather quickly.
I for one have always been a believer.
Do i know 100% the buck is legit?
No I do not, but there is way more info out there leaning towards real.
The scorers are members of the FB page and others who witnesses the deer either in the truck or at the butcher shop.
A new outdoor life article was written and is on the page as well.
I didn’t post this to really argue about the bucks legitimacy but to rather let believers know there is a great page on FB to find out many answers about the Deer and the Hunter.
Go check it out and keep the comments civil if you can. It’s very interesting to say the least.
