I’m setting up a bow for my wife and need some arrow build recommendations for a short draw and low poundage bow. These arrows will be primarily for whitetail hunting and may also use for TAC.

Draw length = 25.5”
Bow poundage = 53 lbs

Wife shoots 48lbs at 25.5"

Hunting:
Axis 500, 75gn steel half-out, 100gn point, 4-fletch AAE hybrid 23. 418gn total weight.

Target:
Easton ACC 560, 40gn glue in points, 3-fletch mini blazers. Around 270gn total.

At those specs I would recommend two different arrows. One for hunting, one for play. A light target arrow will let her practice at the longer distances. My wife can only clear 50yds with her single pin and the hunting arrow.

Personally I'd pick my favorite 5mm shaft probably a 400 spine if your doing a heavy 60-75 grain insert and 500 spine with a standard 15 grain insert. But there are some good calculators to check that online. Easton axis Black eagle rampage or renegades or victory RIP. Regardless I would tip it with a magnus stinger. All those in 400 spine and 50 grain insert with 100 grain tip would put you in the 370-400 grain range. I've shot all these shafts with good results. My favorite in order RIP, renegade, axis, rampage.

Agreed.

My daughter is shooting 24.5" and 36#. Her hunting arrows limit her to 40 yards and her target arrows are good to 60+.

Hunting -
Kill'n Stix Originals 500 spine 125gr point TAW 390gr

Target -
Kill'n Stix Micro LT 600 spine 120gr point 275gr TAW 270

I’m shooting a 500 spine Axis with standard hit inserts and 100 grains of Magnus BH . My total arrow weight is 383 taw. Might go to a 400 spine have both ready to go. But will stay with the 500 spine, for now.
Good luck
