I have a custom at our Deer camp where I do a European buck mount for free for every kids first buck. I have always just left the lower jaw off, but I got a new one to do this weekend and wondered how I could add the lower jaws back into the mount. It looks to me that there is too much meat removed during the boiling process to attach the jaws to the head. Originally, I thought super glue like I do to nose parts if they fall off. The only thing I can think of to fill the meat void is silicone, but that would be an utter mess. Any ideas from those who have actually reattached the lower jaw?

I haven't but I've always glued bones or teeth if they fall out. I don't see that as any different.
I have used glue also on teeth and those very front nose bone sections. but my concern is the lower jaws have meat on both sides, and angle might be thrown off.

Sounds like no one attaches the lower jaws so I whitened them, but left them off, and will just give them to the young man. Had a bone come off, but can't figure out there it goes. I even looked at two past mounts and didn't see it. Oh well, I will give it to him incase he can figure it out.

How do you plan to display it with the jaw? I do a lot of pig skulls like this along with the jaws. If you plan to just set it on a tabletop or similar, you can just fit them together and it will stay. The rear jaw hooks into that hinge and when the teeth align, they interlock and prevent it from moving side to side. If it will be hung up somehow, you might have to glue it or wire it discreetly. Still, once the teeth line up correctly, side to side movement will be minimal.
