At 74 yrs old and arm&shoulder injuries I cannot effectively shoot my Matthew's LX compound anymore. So I'm going crossbow now. My question is, are fixed blade or mechanical broadheads more accurate?

I don’t shoot a crossbow but I’d imagine the mechs would be more accurate, especially at the higher speeds of modern crossbows. If I were in your shoes, I’d at least try the G5 DeadMeat (crossbow version).
Personal you need to shoot the heads and see. Mechs have a reputation for accuracy mostly due
To the lack of surface area. It’s just an inherent characteristic of mechanicals. Even cheap ones mostly fly well. As far as fixed go, I can tell you Magnus Stingers fly very well from my xbow. As good as any mechanical. Cut size is another topic. Just adding I shoot 320 fps. Have run stingers out of a Ravin at 400 fps too. Very good flight. I am talking hunting distance of 40 and under.
I like mechanical more feel like I’m more accurate
