How does the Mach 34 compare to the RX8 ultra ? Any hands on feedback is appreciated …I don’t have a Mach 34 around me.

Both great bows. M34 with EC2 cams is ridiculously smooth draw cycle.
No sure on the new Hoyt Cams.??

Im a much bigger fan of the Mach, because of the speed and efficiency of the cams, and the overall lightweight package of the M34.
The only reason Id spend more for Carbon is for a major weight savings- And PSE has nailed that

Tuning is A LOT easier on the PSE. This fact should not be undervalued. Factor in the variety of cams available and the poor cam efficiency on the Hoyt, PSE is a clear winner when it comes to specs. That said, as mentioned, grip and fit is important. I do feel though that you will get used to any of the modern grips (engage aside) once shot a few hundred times.

Mach 34 hands down. I had a Mach 1 stealth a few years ago and did not like it enough to keep. Shot aluminum bows after just picked up a Mach 34 out of the classifieds and couldn’t be happier. Shooting ec2 cams at 70 pounds which I haven’t done in years and very happy with the speeds and accuracy I am getting.

I own both. M34 is an E2 cam. Both at 30” draw and 70lbs. The Mach is a faster bow. M34 shoots a 525 grain arrow at 278. My Rx8 ultra is currently shooting a 450 grain arrow at 287. I will say that Hoyt does offer some more premium feature like picatinny, integrated accessories, and does kind of have an overall higher quality feel. Just my two cents. I’m hoping to shoot the two side my side some more and do an actual write up.

I had an RX7 Ultra, tried a Mach 34 and decided to buy it as well. After a couple of weeks of shooting them side by side, the Mach 34 was a clear winner for me. Nothing wrong with the Hoyt, but I was much more consistent and accurate with the PSE and it was faster and more stable for me as well. I've shot the new RX8 as well and I see very little advantage in it over the 7. Not only does PSE have a much better tuning system, they have no equal when it comes to carbon bows imo.

I got the Mach 34 for 7 months now it’s been great with me I got the buttery smooth EC2 70# Hamskea epsilon and currently uv slider on it before the dual trac I missed it sometimes with the uv’s hiccups it shoots great pretty stable I say try it out once you see it it’s hard to explain here I got lucky not to have others issue with theirs cracking but PSE has good warranty

Shot them both in the shop last week. The Mach 34 pounds with E2 cams at my 31.5” DL. I shot the Hoyt a little short at 30” and it surprised me. The Mach 34 didn’t have the wow factor as I’ve shot it before many times but the RX8-Ultra surprised me. The performance of the Mach is unmatched but the Hoyt had better manners, as it was dead and quiet. Honestly it would be a tough decision. I want to shoot a Lift 33 before I do anything in my draw length. I’m a sucker for accessories and the PSE line is lacking a little bit in comparison. I keep going back to the Mach 34 being an absolute laser. I wish Hoyt didn’t rely on glue to hold the bow together. I think both are well built, but the PSE seems more simplified by design. I did not shoot them through a chronograph but the PSE buried my arrows into the target to the point where I had to put some effort into getting them out. Both bows held well for me. I haven’t owned a Hoyt in probably a decade so maybe that’s why I was pleasantly surprised. The Mach 34 holds its own and is on my Mt. Rushmore of greatest bows ever built though solely based on performance as it’s likely the best carbon ever built. I’d have to shoot the RX8-Ultra at my DL to really give in the honest run down, but it is on my radar.

Own both
M34 tunes easy and touch faster
RX8U
Holds great smoother draw quieter better grip
And lot less vibe
The weight argument I don’t get yes the PSE is a touch lighter but the shot feel u pay for it

I wanted the M34 to be as great as you ppl say but the shot feel and noise wasn’t worth it

When I first got my Mach 34 it seemed loud and definitely had some shock especially shooting it next to my v3x. With that being said I pulled the stock string set off and put a set of vec99 strings for everything in tune and it made a night and day difference even shooting in my basement it is quiet. I do shoot a 485 grain which helps but a good set of strings and tune will quiet it way down.

It all comes down to the grip. Which ever one you like best.

The Mach 34 is definitely lighter and the draw is more similar to the RX8 than it was to the RX7. I have shot both bows on multiple occasions and would go with the RX8 ultra overall because I liked the draw a tic better. If I cared more about speed and light weight I wouldn't have any problem going with the Mach 34.
