I'm planning on going an archery elk hunt. What broadheads have you had luck with? What type of arrows and setups work the best? Thank you.

I’ve only taken elk with muzzleloader and rifle.That said, this fall I will be chasing them with a bow and using 125g qad exodus.
A lot of unknowns here… are your shooting a compound or recurve… what is your draw weight… what is your ethical, realistic maximum shooting distance… I am guessing you are shooting a compound. With that being said, arrow flight needs to be good and that means a correctly spined arrow of sufficient finished arrow weight.

The ones I have are the glue in’s. They are really sharp out of the package and have full confidence in them.

Tune your bow and find an arrow broadhead combination that flys best out of your setup.
What I’m working on for this year is a 28” 5mm Axis standard HIT, VPA footer, wrapped with 3 AAE Max Hunters. Weighs in at around 500 with a 125 head.
As far as heads, shooting VPA solid, Slick Trick ViperTrick and Black Hornets. All will group with a FP at 40 yards.
Tried the Exodus and don’t have anything bad to say other than I prefer a COC.
Shot IW one season and for the extra money, was not impressed. Bent a tip on a WT pass through and took forever to get it warrantied.
This year, I’m thinking the Magnus Black Hornets will be in my quiver. Probably for many years to come.

I recently ordered a pack of Hydes and an extra set of Jekyl blades and they were all dull. Most had a pronounced burr on the edges that I could feel and even see with the naked eye. I reached out to customer service, who were very responsive when I was asking questions before buying them, and haven't heard back yet (about 2 weeks ago).
Update: I sent a second email and they responded right away, but someone didn't show my original email as "received".
An extremely sharp one, on the front of a 400 to 480gr properly spined arrow, being propelled by a well tuned bow, and wielded by a well practiced archer. Brand really isn’t that important as long as it is a quality one. My personal preference is 100 or 125gr and 1.25 to 1.5 cutting diameter.
