MFJJ reviews the new Spot Hogg Boonie.

In conclusion... can one of you guys buy me the Boonie? I want a discount jk

I'm tempted to pre-order one of these but I have a UV slider with the 3 vertical pin cartridge right now... will I ever be satisfied?

With the new one you at least get 3 different mounting positions to fine tune your peep alignment. I didn't like the FE direct mount because you only had one position, so I stuck with my Tommy.

It would make more sense to offer a once per year discount or something like that. I can understand not offering unlimited but I agree twice a lifetime is kinda dumb.

They won’t take and sell back ordered products at shows and never charge under msrp. They make a lot more profit selling direct but typically recommend ordering from dealers. I talked to Spot Hogg CS last week and was told they are shipping out dealer orders in the next couple weeks and after that they will start shipping individual orders in order of when they were placed. If you placed a pre-order through Spot Hogg they may not ship until June or July.

That’s good to know. My dealer called spot Hogg and wasn’t told a date just that every dealer will receive 5 or something to that nature.

Awesome, from who? I talked to them earlier this week and they said they are waiting on one part and shipping should start next week? Maybe they got parts in early or are starting to ship with the small number of parts they do have in stock right now.

love my spot hogg. The weight reduction would be sweet and if I was buying new, these features would be sweet. Otherwise though I don't really need the adjustments as I'm not doing a whole lot of setup tweaks.

For those constantly tinkering, I see all these updates as a big W.
