It's the same as last year's Lift.

Mathews bows have an awkward feeling of a hump about 3/4 of the way back when in fact it's just holding onto the draw weight later in the cycle, and I'm not a fan of how harshly it can fall into the valley. The modx is slightly better but has a similar feel. If you think 85% is jumpy, you should try 80%. For shooters that want maximium performance, and a form check, they prefer a wall that keeps them honest (e.g. you can't creep forward).

People prefer the draw cycle of other bows like a Hoyt because although it peaks quickly upfront (where you feel stronger), it has a longer transition into the valley so it feels smoother. Of course, this years bows they went a little more aggresive to chase some speed but it's still better than the Mathews IMO. I'm saying that as a person that has owned a few Mathews bows and they are great bows, it just take getting use to the draw cycle at first.

And if smooth is your thing, the Bowtech super smooth doesn't load hard up front or on the backend (in the smooth mod setting), so it's butter the whole way... and also slower. There's no free lunch.

I just purchased a LIFT33 today….., I’ve shot Bowtechs since they came out back in the day, never shot a Matthews before . The short valley scared me a couple times already, just something to get used to I suppose. I’m used to the extreme “dump” into the valley of my Realm X. But overall I like the cycle of the cams!!

I came off of a creed to the lift 33 last year. The valley on the lift is amazing compared to the creed. The creed wanted to jump at the slightest decrease in pressure. If you don’t shoot anything else the lift feels great, if you have other bows that you shoot on the regular the lift feels pretty bad, but honestly it’s pretty good compared to what used to be considered smooth.

What bows are you coming from to call the lifts valley non existent? I think mathews has one of the best feeling 85% letoffs. Doesnt take off on you and lets down very easily.
That was my thought. IMO it’s got pretty decent letoff, while at the same time it doesn’t make you almost push it forward before lunging out. Every man to his own.

You can't have it all........There isn't a 6.5 in BH 343 bow out there with a smooth draw. But if you make a bow with a smooth draw then nobody wants it because the IBO is too low.

That's the beauty of the BowTech marketing system and cams. You get the bragging rights of a high rated IBO bow but then shoot it where it's really comfortable and nobody knows......lol...........genius.

I completely agree

Switchweight cams are definitely unique. My TITLE feels nice at 60lb and 75%, but go to 65lb and 75% and it feels like a much more aggressive bow that doesn’t like being on the back wall at all… much less pleasant despite still holding a good bit less than my Stratos SVX! The Hoyt holds more than 1lb more of holding weight, yet feels smooth and placid by comparison. My 68lb TRX40 with 75% felt much more settled at the back end than the Title at 65lb/75%.

I am starting to agree with those who say switchweight bows are much nicer the closer they are to their ‘native’ weight. Increased DW via the switchweight, rather than greater limb weight, seems to make for a very different feel.

The Lift feels very jumpy off the backwall with 70 lb or higher mods, it noticeably calms down once you get under 70 lbs.

Shoot it with 65 lb mods (or lower) and you will notice the difference immediately.

Have to agree that DW, DL, LBS, and letoff % makes a big difference. I just picked up a Lift 33X yesterday. It's 60lbs, 28.5", and 85% letoff and it isn't bad at all. I wouldn't own one at 70lbs, and 80% letoff is a buggar. I would've gotten 55lb mods if they had them. And I accidentally lied to everyone here. I said I wasn't gonna get one, but I slipped up and did. I want to see how my accuracy is with this platform. I have a new Elite Era also, and with the perf mods it came with at 60lbs, I don't feel a ton of difference. I have smooth mods on the way which I'm pretty certain will be a solid improvement.
