What’s everyone’s thoughts on Hoyt customer service? Called them today for some thing and was able to talk to the human pretty quickly but he wasn’t able to help me with my issue. I just need a set of RK3E mods for a bow.

Is it typical for a bow manufacturer to not keep mods in stock after ten years?

The rkt mods are definetely hard to come by There were some on flea-bay recently but I'm not sure if there was any of that size The mods that make 29, 29.5,which I think your e mods might be depending on which bow its for, are particularly hard. I posted a WTB here on AT and was able to find some

I called asking about a new grip for my RX7 and the guy I spoke with was kind of an a hole about it. "Your local dealer will have to order one for you, takes 30 seconds. Is there anything else I can help you with?." It was less what he said and more how he said it, like I was the biggest idiot and he couldn't be bothered. Made me feel bad for even calling. Maybe the guy was just having a bad day.

Hoyt cams and modules, ?, they inventory just enough parts to cover the uber rare defect rate. Consider the cost of maintaining an inventory on parts that maybe one in a hundred, (one in a thousand?) It's cheaper to send that "One in a thousand" a new bow.
Limbs have a much longer life in a series of bow designs. My collection of Pro Arc limbs will fit on five different Hoyt's I still have in action. The limb series on my 2018 Hyperforce will work on bows coming off the line in 2023. You can still get limbs in that series if a limb takes a dive.

If you need a RK3E mod, keep an eye on the AT Classifieds. EBay has a site for Hoyt cams and mods. Hoyt, probably not.

Most of the manufacturers guarantee parts availability for 5 years after the end of production. PSE recently changed that to 2 years for their products. Mathews is the only manufacturer who can, and will, provide parts for every bow they have ever made.

Absolutely do not buy a Hoyt and expect anything from their customer service. Got a RX-7 when it came out and had one of the worst customer service experiences out of any company I’ve ever dealt with. Went with an Elite based on all the input from others on this forum and it was the best thing I ever did.

Hello from 2024 soon to be 2025 Hoyts customer service is god awful. I needed a screw and they told me to piss off and get with my “proshop” I live in a dead zone of incompetence when it comes to archery shops near me here in Ohio so if at all possible I like to avoid using them. Event #2 I had another issue with hardware and I was going to handle it myself but I needed OFFCIAL thread sizes so I could not wonder aimlessly in Lowe’s lmao again they told me to kick rocks and get with my pro shop to order the part. I had to do some digging on a forum from 2019 to finally figure it out.

Good service should at least tell you the specs on the screw- type of head, length, diameter, thread pitch. Then...if they didn't have it in stock due to an old item, you could go to a hardware store or industrial supply.

Guess I had a different experience with Hoyt service. I called a couple years ago for limbs on my Hovoctech and the guy was fantastic. He advised me on what to do and we talked hunting and shooting a while. Pretty sure he said they make replacement limbs for any bow the made.

Maybe a dealer could help.
I live in a Hoyt dead zone I have to travel to PA to get anything done or spend 400$ on a bow press and learn myself. The shops around me are completely clueless. The shop in question sold me a 1400$ bow set my peep and Made sure my my marked up mx2 rest was leveled and called it good. No timing, no paper tune, wouldn’t listen to my when I said my peep was definitely off and was told “the strings need to settle..”. But they sure charged me 3.5% extra for using a credit card. I then later had serving seperation on a 17 day old bow, tried to contact Hoyt they said it’s a dealer problem(go figure). Tried to get them to fix it and they wanted to charge me 75$ an hour for labor and that it “could be 2-3 working days” to get redone. I envy people who live in populated areas who get their bows worked on by people who know what they are doing and are knowledgeable. So yeah I officially hate small business.
