This years turkey = two shots, got him with second, in a blind of course. Never got more than one shot at a deer though. They always run off after the miss! :embara:

Read an article where a guy emptied his five arrow quiver at a monster buck...missed every time.

In my younger days i launched 3 arrows at a nice six point. Never got him.

Lol!

My buddy regularly shoots his deer 2-3 times each. I have never had one stick around that long after the shot.. Then again its usually double lunged!

I shot a buck two times, the first was a lung shot at 14 yards. He ran to about 50 yards and then started to come back, when he turned broad side at 31 yards I let him have another one.

I have shot at and missed a doe three times. I shot a buck that took five arrows, four of them hits before dying. The first shot spined him, and he kept trying to get up so I kept shooting. He thrashed around and broke most all of my arrows, but it was worth it.

My personal record is 2. This past fall my son was able to get his first deer with a bow in Nebraska. I guess he got a little excited because he shot (and hit) the deer 3 times. When I went to help him drag it out it looked like a porcipine the way arrows were coming out of it every direction.

i was hunting with my uncle one time and we were getting ready to leave and we started walking back and we spotted a 10 points really wide rake and my uncle takes his bow and shoots 6 TIMES!!!!!! misses then the deer came even closer and i shot him after missing 1 time!
widest rack today for me im only 17.
It was crazy tho.

4 arrows

And I only had 3 arrows when I started!! Arrow #1, over the back at 18 yards. Arrow #2 high in the shoulder at 45 yards. At that point he was unable to get up and I hit him again with the rangefinder. Arrow #3, opposite shoulder while he was trying to get up at 38 yards. OUT of arrows. Climbed down out of my treestand found arrow #1 and cleaned a little dirt off of the broadhead and finished him off with arrow #1 at 10 yards. The first shot,I got a little tore up and shot him for 30 yards for some stupid reason. Not the greatest shooting but who wouldn't for a 142" whitetail.:)

My dad shot 8 arrows at a deer once. He said it was when he was young. He was on the ground walking toward it. He emptied his quiver at it, then was walking closer toward it to pick up his arrows and continue shooting lol. He did indeed make the kill, and it was not suprizinly his only bow kill. Since then he's stuck to gun hunting and been very successful hehe.

In my first year of archery hunting....................long time ago..............I once shot 4 arrows at a small buck and never once touched him. I was shooting a recurve and he was picking and eating apples off a tree. Everytime he raised up on his hind legs to grab an apple I would shoot, until I ran out of arrows. Then I just walked up behind him and asked for an apple.

First deer I ever shot at with a compound twenty five years ago resulted in four complete wiffs in a row at the same deer.It could of been five but I ran out of arrows. The last shot I could hardly keep the arrow on the rest!I practiced every day before season so I thought it was going to be easy.A person learns alot in those early years.

When I shot recurves, I shot a lot of deer on the 2nd shot.....the first was just practice:confused: Of course those bows are super silent, so a lot of times the deer would just stand there and look confused. When it would settle down again.....I'd let another one fly, with good results the majority of times.....
