Anyone here ever attended TWAC? A summer archery camp for kids and adults. Formerly "Teela Wooket Archery Camp" in Vermont, then "The World Archery Center" near Stroudsburg PA. I guess it closed down sometime in the '80s.

I was there in 1978 and met quite a few well-known, and about-to-be-well-known archers, and was wondering if anyone else on the AT has attended.

Never did though Mildred and Charlie Pierson and Darrell used to talk about it alot-I think I had a TWAC shirt that was slightly misprinted that Charlie gave me

I was there. But then, you knew that already Stash, since you were there that year too.

I've occasionally thought about TWAC while reading messages here and have wondered why there's never anything about it. Suprised that it didn't leave more of a visible legacy.

FiFi from Windsor... Hmm, izzat Fiona? Hi, how are you doing?

Yup, I'm back in The Great White North again, and I had my bow sent over in the air shipment (along with our computer and some winter clothing -- all the necessities of life ;) ) so I'd have it ASAP -- the rest of our belongings are in a container on a ship (or maybe it's in a warehouse here by now) somewhere between France and Canada.

No place to have them delivered to just yet -- the company has put us up in temporary accommodation for a couple of months while we find a permanent residence, which we have just done. We're buying a house in Guelph, but the closing isn't until March 12th -- the vendors are buying from someone who is building a place and they can't move before then.

So. We need to find another temporary residence after the company stops paying for this one (it's a bit too expensive to consider staying in) -- preferrably in Guelph, or at least somewhere between there and work (Dufferin and Steeles area of Toronto). Any suggestions?

Best regards,

Rob

Hello everyone, it's been more than forty years, but I still remember my two stays at TWAC. I was there for four days in August of 1967, and 7 days in August of 1968. I visited the camp in the early 80s on a vacation trip and the first thing that hit me was the smell. It smelled the same! I wish I could get in touch with friends I meet back then. Great memories!

All the best, Chuck Janack
