Actual weight tubes will..........they slide inside and will definitely increase your spine. I would never use something loose like string trimmer line.......get the right arrows even used if you are on a budget.

Carbon Express used to sell weight tubes and 3 Rivers still sells them, they are compressed foam I believe and come in 3, 5 and 8 GPI. They are not supposed to change spine, never heard otherwise.

I tried them but by the time I got the cedar shaft drilled out to accept the weight insert I lost more weight than I was gaining. Complete garbage.🥴

Interesting products. Can you cut it shorter in order to customize it to your desired target weight?

We have used arrow tubes for a lot of years but they were mostly aimed at .246 diameter arrows. This is nothing really new but an new material to use.

I remember hearing they were going to have someone start making the shafts for them....[Victory, I think] I know they had nothing but problems with the old ones.

The good news for most guys- you can pick up those heavy arrow tubes to fit your existing arrows and play around with different arrow setups pretty cheap- 3 Rivers archery has them in 3 sizes. Try them without gluing them in first...just be aware when you get serious about these they carry some big time momentum and I've had the heavy arrow tubes blow out noks and inserts if not glued in.

Heres the link to 3 Rivers arrow weight tubes in 3, 5, 8 GPI Best to cut them as close to exact as possible so they aren't sliding around.

Slide them in and mark, then subtract for the nok- easy.

So you guys are saying they screw into the insert from the back side? So I need like a 30 inch Allen wrench?
Gold tip sells the long allen wrench for their weight system. It only works with their inserts though as they have threads on the back of the inserts. PDP also has an insert weight system for their inserts: http://www.3riversarchery.com/pdp+insert+weight+system_iSPW05_baseitem.html. I was referring to weight tubes: http://www.3riversarchery.com/3Rivers+Arrow+Weight+Tubes_i6731X_baseitem.html.

I'll look into these. Thanks. I use GT arrows, so the fast system should work.

i use pin nocks and pin nock bushings for my goldtips. if you really want to add weight to your arrows, then buy some weight tubes from 3 Rivers Archery. i got the ones in 3 grain per inch and my arrow went from 385 grs to 475 grs. i have tried this on 3 arrows and found my accuracy is just as good as before and with my favorite broadhead a Muzzy 100 3 blade. this is exactly what i will be using for my Colorado elk hunt next sept.
      heres a link.
