As an update on the three month mark (I'm losing count of time out of shear enjoyment!) in my journey to learn Olympic Recurve. I am extremely pleased with the progress I am making. That would not have taken place had it not been for the assistance of Chris Hill, who put me on the right path...

How do you aim your barebow, stringwalking or gap, doesn't matter, if you line your centershot dead center or really close to center? Don't you align your bow and your string with your eye and that would block the sight of your arrow point?

I have a similar issue to a recent thread about the sight dropping low, and would appreciate any help/advice you guys can give: My scope housing will start nicely centered in the peep, but then I often seem to get the following problems: 1) scope drops low in the peep (so the dot sits near the...

Being a photographer as well as an archer, it occurred to me to use a light to align my bow. I set up a small light bulb (a single LED flashlight would work well) so it casts a shadow of the string down the centre of the bow.... Easy to see limb alignment! A piece of paper held in the right...

My son is going into his second year of shooting Spin Wings on carbon arrows. Toward the end of the last outdoor season and starting again this season. He very quickly seems to be tearing the lower wing from the arrow. This occurs within the first one or two shots of the arrow. Sometimes it rips...
  9. Coaches Corner
I am having problems (kind of) with my sight string alignment. I have a recurve bow (no peep sight), and I look around the far side of the string when shooting (to the right of the string). Apparently, this is not the accepted or encourage manner of shooting. At my archery club, I have heard...
