draw length adjustment

  1. General Archery Discussion
This is my first draw length adjustable bow the Bear Atttitude. I was wondering if I have to change the nocking point or sight peep when I change the draw length? My instincts tell me that it shouldn't matter but my measured draw length isn't coming out with where my anchor point should be.

Hi everyone, I was just given an old PSE Phantom by a friend. It has new strings on it but I don't have a 30" draw length. Any ideas on how to shorten the draw length? I don't have much money to spend on this but I am really excited to get in to bow hunting. Anything will help, summit2016
  3. Ben Pearson Archery Discussion
So I got a Pearson Accu-Max bow I bought used as my first bow, and it fits me well except for the draw length. I need it dropped down to 27' and I'm pretty sure it's up at 30' right now. I was told by my local archery shop that it was impossible for me to get this fixed with this specific bow...

I have been able to borrow a 2013 G5 Drive, with the option to buy. It's much nicer, newer and faster than the old Reflex bow that I have. I need to adjust the draw length. Is that something I can do on my own. w/o a bow press? If so, how? It's set at 27 and I shoot 28.5. Will I need to buy a...

I recently purchased a Mathews MR7 26.5 draw bow. Normally 26.5 fits me perfect but this bow is long. I inquired with my Mathews dealer and they said I was up a creek because Mathews does not make a 26 in draw for the MR7. They said their hands were tied because they are not allowed to take a...

Can the draw be shortened anymore on this bow by twisting the string or something along those lines. The bow was advertised as having a 24" draw but seems a little longer than 24". I need to reduce the length about another half inch or so. Is this possible?

My big brother just sent me his Hoyt XT2000 bow to try out. His draw length is 29" and I really need something in the order of 27". Is there a way to adjust the draw length? Cams? Help me out, I'm completely new to bow hunting.

I recently came across a Martin M-44 Firecat, 1997, with 31" draw. Are there any cams available for purchase that are compatible with this bow that can allow for my 27" draw length? Notes: The bow has wheels instead of cams, and the wheels are unmarked.

If you have a bow that reaches it's stop right after it breaks over and you shorten the draw length by say 1", Will the bow still reach the break over point or will you be holding the draw weight?

Im looking at a LX on ebay. The seller says the DL is fully adjustable from 25-30 inches. I thought the mathews bow were set DL and you had to buy different cams to adjust the DL. Also he says the DW is 40-70 lbs which is another thing i havn't heard of. This is the link for the bow...

I'm looking for a pair of cams to shorten the draw length of my older HCA sniper. It currently has the 29-30" cams, but the sticker on the bow shows that there should be some 24-26" or 25-26" cams. I know they went out of business a while ago (and got reborn, but that doesn't help me). Does...
