I wanted a simple true helical jig for fixing vanes whenever I went out and lost a couple. Modeled and printed a Fletching Jig for 3 vane arrows. I uploaded the full source files and print files in the link below if anyone else wants to play with it. Fully configurable to vane length and helical...

Thoughts on using 2 different kinds of vanes at the same time in a 4 fletches configuration. Let's say AAE pro max at 0 and 180 and AAE hybrid 1.85 at 90 and 270? Crazy thought, or secret genius? I have no idea what would be gained by this, but perhaps the masses of knowledge on here may have...

Anyone with experience and feedback on a "new to me" multi arrow fletching jig, the "Avalon Hexagon Fletch?" I have been trying to find new JoJan- seem like they are out of business, quite a shame. This seems a viable alternative, but I can find no reviews on the net, hoping folks here might...

I'm about to build some Black Eagle X-Impact 400 spine arrows that have a .165 inside diameter. I wanna pick up some lighted nocks and narrowed it down to these two brands. I know Firenock is the best when it comes to nocks. I just don't wanna spend that much money at this time. I have shot...

I'm wanting to try and fletch my own arrows. I was wandering what jigs every one uses. which ones you have tried and do not like. I don't want to spend 200-300 for a jig. I have looked at several online but do not know anything about them. Thanks in advance for the help.

I plan on building some Easton ACC 3-49 arrows for my 60Lb bowtech realm SR6. I have a couple questions about arrow build and hoping i can get some recommendations. I'm color blind so i figured a white onestringer reflective arrow wrap. That way i can see blood on arrow wrap with my HD blood...

According to 3 rivers if you use 4x3 inch fletch it is almost identical as 3x4 inch fletch as far as weight and drag so I think 4x3 has the advantage. A little more work but also no nocking issues when hunting, and at least, or maybe a little better stabilization.

Looking for thoughts on Vanetec swifts. Specifically the 2.25" How does the material hold up? How much prep goes in to these before you fletch?

Just though I would share my process and see if anyone has some input. I use FFP-225s on Victory arrows. I prep the shafts by using a green scotchbrite pad and doing a quick rubdown then follow that with a towel and denatured alcohol. For the vane I will "scrape" the base with some light...

Most use three fletch. I prefer four smaller vanes for 3d (225 Flex Fletch). For hunting I've used three FF 310's and three FF 360's and four of each. All worked well when the bow was well tuned. For deer I have used small diameter fixed blade broadheads. As an experiment once I tried six...

I've been wanting to get into archery for a while and got my chance this summer with a good rummage sale find: a 44# Darton recurve in great condition. I've watched and read quite a bit at this point and I'm pretty sure I'm set up and doing things right, except for one big problem.. I'm...

I have a Bitz Jig and just recently noticed that the company makes left and right helical nock receivers. I have the left and right helical clamps and have used them both with the standard nock receiver that came with the jig. So what is the purpose of these helical receivers? do they help and...
