Get your heavy micro arrow here! I built these for maximum penetration for a friend but he decided to go a different route. Brand new Carbon Express Nano .166 350 spine weight in at 424 grains without fletch, point or nock. Will weigh in right at 571 grains and approx. 18.1% FOC with 125 grain...

For those that work with Higher FOCs: the Ranch Fairy talked about a sweet spot for shooting a 300 spine arrow 28” long at 60# being around 225 grains up front. Anyone have a suggestion of a sweet spot for a bow shooting 70# and a 28” draw? I’ve got both 300 and 350 spine arrows to work with.

So I'm gonna revamp my entire setup this year. I've been looking around and comparing and I think I'm going to go with either Victory V-Force or Black Eagle Carnivore 250 spines. Either way use Ethics 100gr outserts and then either use a 200gr GrizzlStik Samurai or a 150gr Stinger. Thoughts on...

I need some new arrows for my bow set up cause my current ones do not have the right spine. Want ones that have a good tolerances. I have heard recommendations for Victory Vap ss and maybe their RIP TKO. Heard that Easton axis is also popular. Current one is gold tip hunter XT but they are...

BLUF: I'm considering getting rid of a solid accurate arrow set up to gain more yardage by reducing arrow weight and want your opinion and advice. BOW: 75# 31.5 VXR 28.5 DL I am currently shooting 7.9df Easton T64 FMJ w/100gr head, stock insert, stock nock, and zinger 4 fletch 3 degree offset...
  7. Arrows & Strings
Hi all, I shoot 60# and draw 32”. I shoot an old Matthew’s conquest, which I mostly love. But I get pretty substantial drop from 20-30 yards (30 is my max shot hunting). I’d like to tighten it up and am considering lightening my arrows. My arrows weight about 500 grains. 300 spine Berman...

In need of a set up for a Mathews VXR 31.5 with 75lb DW and 29.5in DL. If anyone has a similar set up that could provide info so that I don't have to start from scratch. Thanks in advance!!

To all the arrow building nerds (like myself) I have a question. Does adding rear weight (arrow wraps, lighted nocks, larger 4-6 fletch vanes) effect FOC point weight? I was listening to a podcast about arrows and they were talking about if you add rear weight you’ll need to add more FOC weight...

I have 6 180grain short Jag Valkyrie broadheads (never shot) 6 180 grain practice points, the sharpening kit, the jewelers stone for sharpening in the mountains, a brand new thing of Jag wax. First $200 takes it all. The only thing used is three of the practice tips. Just too heavy for my arrow...

Good morning, Unique situation here, and I need some reassurance that I made the right decision - I'm a large man and shoot a 2015 Hoyt Nitrum 34 LD set at 85 lbs. with 32.5" draw length - I pull the weight back like a normal guy with 60 lbs, so I'm not too heavy. I was shooting 250 spine...
  13. Broadhead Discussion
So I had a buddy of mine build me some Easton axis 5mm 340 arrows that are coming in around 500g with a 100g Broadhead (50g brass inserts). I was thinking of maybe ordered some Iron Will 125g heads but not sure. I’m not too sure about FOC and how it would effect these arrows. Really don’t...

I just got some Easton Axis 300 spine arrows in the other day and am excited to build up some hunting arrows. I'm running 50 grains of brass up front and a Bloodsport Gravedigger 100 grain broadhead as well. Would you see any advantages in using the AEE Max Stealth vanes in a 3 fletch or 4...

Doing some messing around with heavier FOC and such and would like to try some .300 and .250 spine Hunting arrows for that purpose. None of the local shops near me carry any .250 Spine arrows and they are all sold out of the .300 spines. I would just order some, but I don't need 6+ arrows for...

I'm hoping to capitalize on some real-world experience with hunters using 50-55lb compound bows drawing 29" (give or take 0.5"). I'm always happy to experiment, but this stuff gets expensive and I would like to potentially save some money on an upcoming arrow build. I've been shooting arrows...

I was wondering what the FOC Ranges are? Between what percentages does normal FOC turn to High FOC, then from High to Ultra High, ultra to Extreme, etc. Thanks, Happy Hunting.

Hey guys, interested in building a 600-650 grain arrow with high FOC. I shoot 70lbs and 31 in DL. What arrows would be best for me and what spine? From what I’ve read a 250 spine sounds about right but I’m not 100% sure. I’ve looked at a few of the Black Eagles and also the Easton Bloodline, but...

Looking at purchasing new arrows - 700 or 800 spine - 29 inch. Finding the right spine is important, but not difficult to do. Running the numbers through Archer's Advantage and checking point weight from 90 to 140 the Front Of Center (FOC) runs from 17.6 to 23.1 I read in "Modern Recurve...

I’m going crazy with this arrow build as the calculated FOC, and measured FOC are not within tolerance close to each other. Okay, I’ve been using the GoldTip FOC Calculator online. The arrows I have are uncut Beman ICS Hunter Classic 340 (31.625”x9.3GPI=294.1125gn) with Easton Super Nocks...
