Only my second season bow hunting deer in Minnesota and I’d love to find a map that tells me what the heck is planted in or around WMAs. anyone else figure this out? Would have to drive hours to WMA to find out there aren’t food sources nearby that deer love to eat.

I wanted to share with everyone the last 5 years of my non-resident public land success. I understand Ohio has some real giants in this state. I have met a lot of nice people in Ohio over the past 10 years. Most of the locals say its really hard to shoot one of them giants on public land. We...

I am very interested in making a trip to hunt public land in Kansas. Myself nor any of my friends have hunted public land in Kansas so I have no idea where to start. I have been looking at the maps of WIHA areas (assuming that's the best place to start?). Any recommendations of areas to look at...

I got into a debate over hunting public land with a gentleman yesterday. He swore you couldn't shoot big deer on public land. I had to stand my ground and disagree with him. I feel you can shoot big deer on public land if you put in the work. I go further in the woods than the average hunter...

Hi all, What are your ranges using for foam targets? I want to get my local bowhunters club to switch to foam instead of the arrow death trap of wood fibers and metal straps. If they are recycled where do you get the materials? If they are commercial which company and which model? Thank you in...

Is anybody willing to help a fellow bow hunter with info on Harrison Crawford State Forest in Indiana? Last minute trip plans, leaving to head there in a month and have never stepped foot on the ground a day in my life. Trying to turn a family getaway into hunting for a few days while I am on my...

Where does everyone get them? Besides military surplus stores.. I don't think I have any nearby. What exactly should I be looking for? I'm looking to attach them to a Summit Open Shot SD. Will this work? I'm going to start hunting public land a lot more this year and have been reading a lot...

I am new to hunting public land. I have always hunted on private land and have roughly 70 stands (hang-ons and ladders) set up on private land in a few different spots in MN over about 1500 acres. However over the last year I have gotten this itch to hunt public land for a new challenge. My...

I was just a little curious if anyone has tried this...I have hunted out of blind but ones that we leave out after we brush in. Has anyone had any luck using them on public land or on land where you take them in and out?? Thinking about going that route this year being that I got rid of my...

Hi Guys. I live in Lowell and I am looking for a close proximity (<= 30 minutes) spot to shoot 3D. I'm hoping to find a place that allows non-members (I'm sure a fee will apply). My current club doesn't have a 3D setup but I also don't wish to join another club. My buddy and I drive up to...

After having my hopes for going to Colorado crushed the last two years due to hunting partners backing out last minute(August , I got word from a buddy today that we are a go for this year. I just found a great spot on public land the only problem is that its in the middle of an old field with the brush growing up which makes it harder to hunt. I managed to find a pine tree that is easy to climb using only branches, my question now is what would be the best option to go about...
