Can anyone tell me anything about this release? I believe it's an old Scott Stainless Steel Longhorn but it looks very much like a 'prototype'. It doesn't have the smooth lines and curves of every other Longhorn I've seen and was just curious if anyone had any details. Thanks.
This is a nearly new Scott Longhorn Hex release. It is a great release to use when learning back tension, or to hunt with. Some of the pros have actually used it in competition.

Could not get used to a hinge so selling my Scott Longhorn 3. It originally had the the cocker head with the adjustment grub screw but was upgraded this past winter by Scott Archery (phenomenal warranty support by the way) to the design without it. So, there is a mark from the previous grub...
Im getting into more serious 3D and spot tourneys, Im going to purchase a hinge release and it has come down to the Longhorn and the HT. Pros and Cons? Any bad or really good experiences you have had with them please give me some info or just your thoughts on the release. Thanks.

I have it set so it clicks just as I take my thumb off the thumb post; my usual shot execution timing from there is 2.1-3.5 seconds on shots that feel good Timing can sometimes be as little as 1 second on the "dang that was too quick!" shots, or up to 6 seconds or so on ones where I hang on. I...
