Just got a new bow and the string is thinner then my old bowstring, should I adjust the nocks to the string (use hot water and pinch them together?) or just buy a new string that is thicker? I've never reserved a string, would this fix the issue, and if so, I would just need one of the...

When you start your center serving, do you wrap the thread around the string and commence with the project or do you split the string and put the serving through? I’ve seen both on YouTube as I’m trying to learn the proper technique for serving my string and I was just curious if it’s a...

So I'm just about finished building my first bowstring jig and have some ?s about string material. I know I'm gonna want to practice building a set or two before even attempting anything that would even consider installing on a bow. My question is what is a good quality yet economical string and...

I shoot the G-Pin nock Large Groove from Easton on my X10 Protours. I'm shooting the Gas Ghost XV strings and I know the nock size is correct for my serving size. I have two dozen X10's fletched, and when I go to the range some of my arrows will nock on my string perfectly fine; I have the right...
  5. Centerpoint Bows
Couple of questions/ concerns. 1st- I'm new to xbows, just purchased a Centerpoint Sniper 370 secondhand. I've taken it out to sight in, getting ready for the fall hunt this year after about 6 shots, I've noticed a seizing or serving starting to unwrap. Not on the bowstring where the arrows...

I know there have been people experimenting with Braided spectra fishing line and was wondering which brand and particular braid has been found to be most like Halo .014. I am NOT interested in the ones that are more flat than round. I am most interested in actual experience, not Brand-X claims...

Hi everyone, I have a relatively new RH Fanatic 3.0XL, pulling 70lbs in comfort setting, @ 29" draw. My problem is this: Right where the cable turns over the bottom cam module at full draw, there is what I can only describe as a mashing or wearing of the serving on the right side of the cable...

Hello, I'm shopping for material for my first custom endless loop strings for olympic recurve. After testing some of my friend's srings, I have decided to try BCY mercury. I am not sure about the end loop serving though. I was thinking going for Angel Majesty for both center and loop serving...

So, I've been trying building some strings out of the Brownell Rampage and the BCY Mercury and during my draw cycle, the peep rotates up to a quarter turn. I do not have this issue when I was using my BCY Trophy. After building the string on the endless loop jig, I would stretch it out at 325...

Is it ok or a good idea to put a serving on the cables where they slide threw the cable guard? I'm trying to save life of my strings. I drew it back and it "seems" to be ok, haven't shot it yet. Just curious if anyone does this or do I just need to get new cables PSE bow with the red factory slide

We know to condition the bow string itself with wax but I noticed that above my nock as well as were the finger tab goes, the serving is becoming frayed. Is there any way to inhibit this? Clearly, you don't want to use wax because friction is necessary in these areas but what, if anything, do...

I purchased a PSE Stalker two months ago and the serving at the top AND bottom have begun to come unraveled. I fixed the worse of the two via a YouTube vid (by back weaving) but lost an inch of thread in the process,* so I'm going to let the other end go and just buy a new string. That said...
