I've been thinking about trying out new tabs. Currently shooting the bateman TC3 and I like it. However, I want to try a metal plate tab with a bit more palm plate. The yost tab is nice and interesting, but I don't like the paracord finger loop, cuts into my finger. I like the bateman's and...

One of the things I struggled with as a new archer was how to set up my tab. I really wish I could have seen examples of how other people adjusted theirs. So I'm starting this thread. Post a picture of your own tab, on your hand, just like I have below. I look forward to seeing them all!

  9. General Archery Discussion
I have been using an A+F tab pulling about 46lbs on my fingers. Have been unhappy with my loose and thought I would try Vulcolan tab face. At 40yards I was grouping really well but a little low. When I pushed it to 50m what should have been gold height was down in the black/white. Removed the...
  10. Traditional Archery
So regardless of the 3 recurves that I own, when shooting with a tab, my accuracy suffers greatly. I'm talking at 7-10yds, it's the difference between slamming a bullseye and ending up somewhere out in the 7 ring. If I go to shooting with bare fingers, accuracy improves and groups shrink in...

hello, i'm a new bowyer, and new to this site, also. i dont really know the difference (performance wise) between a glove and tab. i'm open to either, but i like the idea of a glove more. right now ive been using my bare fingers, and boy does it hurt! i dont have a steady income (my job is...

Brand new, completely unused, KSL Cordovan Leather Tab Face replacement for RH Medium KSL tabs. Cordovan beats the heck out of superleather, in case you were wondering. I'm only selling this because it's the replacement to my replacement, which I think is little excessive :P $20 TYD CONUS...

I am currently shooting with a medium AAE Elite finger tab. I am not a fan of the single finger loop. I have held the KSL tab, and liked the feeling of the tab being "locked down" with the, in my opinion, better finger loops. Is there anyway to mimic this on the Elite? Or, is purchasing the KSL...

I want upgrade my current cheap-o finger tab to a "real" target one. Looking for a right-handed Small Leather or Cordovan AAE Cav. Elite, Small Fivics/Soma Saker 1, or Black Mamba Venom (Original and/or Venom II). Thanks!

Looking for 2 Finger Tab for Right Hand, size medium or so. I am interested in trying this without spending a heap on a new one. Whatchya got?
  16. Traditional Archery
I have seen several threads here on the virtues of gloves and tabs - people have a lot to say about why one or the other is the best for hunting or target - one has a better release or a better feel etc., etc...The thing that I haven't seen is how is a tab supposed to fit - how long is too long...

I am looking to buy a barta glove quiver and his wilderness arrows! Thanks.
  18. Traditional Archery
I am right-handed, shooting 3-under. I use tied-on nocking points. They are oriented with the center servings, so that they screw clockwise to move up the string, and counterclockwise to go down the string. A problem I continually have is that my tab will start to unscrew the lower nocking point...

Had plenty of plumbers putty left over from the custom grip modification and thought I'd try building up the meager spacer on the Cavalier Elite into something more Mamba-like. Anybody else doing this? I'm pretty happy with the results after about about 60 shots.
  20. Finger Shooting
I've been shooting recurve (barebow, 3 fingers under) for about six months now and recently bought a E.W. Bateman and Black Widow (both size medium) tab to try. I really like the Black Widow tab which fit my hand perfectly. The Bateman tab seems to be a nice tab but the fit is not good and...
