Anyone have experience with multiple vane glues and which kind doesn't leave this residue below? These arrows done with the gorilla glue below. I use acetone to clean it off as good as I can but it just looks like amateur hour. TIA

If you want the back of your vanes to be as clean as possible without getting the oil from your fingers on them this tray can help you out. It will keep your vanes organized, keep them vertical, and keep them secure while you build your arrows.
It is designed...
Just wanted to hear some thoughts on shaft/vane combo from VXR users. Trying to set up a great elk arrow.
I shoot the 31.5" model at #65. My draw is set up at 27 1/2, but I think I need another inch or so for a proper fit.
I know, I know. Every bow is different, yada, yada. Just trying to...
I apologize if this has been asked before (I couldn't find any previous discussions), but I'm just now getting into archery and had a question about arrow fletching:
I prefer eastern styles of shooting (arrow on right side of bow). I like shooting directly from my hand if possible or shooting...
i would like to know the results of someone shooting compound fita outdoor with helical vanes?
do they get a good result at 50 meters? is 2" helical to much for vanes less than 2" for outdoor Fita ?

Just got a LCA Vanemaster pro jig. Definitely the nicest jig I've seen and very easy to use. My one question, and this is pry something I'm just overlooking, how to I set this up for particular vane placement based on where I want my cock vane? I tuned my bare shafts and indexed my nocks to...
i would to know if is there a relation between the Arrow length vs vane size,
cause some people say that long arrows are more stable than the short ones,
those long arrows works better with short vanes a mean like less than 2" ?
or which is the ideal size vane for long arrows to work...

I'm trying to figure out what to fletch my Nano XR (tiny carbon) arrows with. I have learned from my own straight vane, helical vane and Aerovane III experiments that spinning the arrow makes for flatter flight and tighter groups from 35 yards out to 70 or more. You can't convince me...
So I just took my first stab at fletching my own arrows and I think I did a pretty good job overall. I was using an Arizona E-Z Fletch Mini, Black Blazer Vanes and Loctite Gel Control. My first two attempts are abysmal and I burned through 12 vanes but I got the hang of it shortly after. I did...
I was looking online yesterday and came across some vanes from Easton that claim to be Crossbow specific, and I wondered if anyone has shot these vanes or other crossbow vanes out of a compound?
What do you feel would be the pros/cons of shooting these out of a compound?
Here is what Easton...
