I got to wait till the 19th. I just landed 1400 acres of private land to hunt on! Got a few waterholes on the place so the hunting should be good. I may have made someones week cause I just called and invited a fellow AT member to hunt with me:)

Antelope

I'll be there, Idaho that is. Opens on the 15th we are hunting a friend of the families ranch of about 200,000 acres. First time out should be a real trip. Do you guys sit in blinds or spot and stalk? Will decoys work early in the season??? Alan

I don't know how you would do with the decoys. I know from past experience that they don't respond well until the 2nd week of September. They are a little dumb and really curious so who knows what they will do.

I am counting down until Tuesday the 15th. I have it off just by chance so I will be out there. The only problem is that there is too much water this year. There are several holes all in close proximity and that is gonna make it difficult. I have one picked out and I think I will try that one on opening day.
Maybe I will get lucky...

Over here in the central/eastern side of the state it has been very hot and bone dry for about 2 months. Waterholes will be producing good results here if the weather pattern stays the same. Good luck to ya!!

I'm going for the first time this year out in northwest nebraska. I know that ain't the best spot to go but we didn't have to draw for tags their. I also just heard there was fire going through that part of nebraska. So who knows. I'm still pumped though. Oh yea i got 20 days.

I am feeling like hunting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got a new place that has been producing 15-16 inch bucks every year. I will be honest and say that I will gladly shoot whichever buck walks in front of my blind but I sure hope it is a biggun!!!
