I certainly can't take the credit for building either of these thanks to a buddy of mine for whipping them together, but I am now officially in the trail cam game! YAHOOOOOO I know it's a bit late in the year, but I'm itchin to get these out. 1 P32 setup and 1 P41 setup.

Nice cams...mine don't look that pretty. Just finished a P52/BG2 last week and got it out in the woods. I got several pics including a nice young 10 point in the 110-120 range. I also have another p52 waiting to be built and I should finish a p41 by the end of the week. Homebrew is the only way to go.

I have about $240 into each setup. A buddy of mine has one of these and a Cuddeback. He put them side by side to see which one performed better. Each setup has it's own positive features, but all in all....they were roughly about the same. Not bad to have a Cuddeback equivilant for $160 less.

Is there any other cameras that will work? I am having a hard time finding any Sony P32 or P41 to buy.

Can anyone give me a total list of what is needed to build your own trail cam? Also, were is everybody buying their components when building their own trail cams? (cases, triggers, etc.)?

Thanks.

Your buddy built you two of the best trail cameras available and it's not too late to get them out there. The 32 and 41 get amazing quality pics and are fast. Have fun with them and post up some pics:wink:

Hey bud,

I just put the P41 out tonight, but realized that I really need to get some mineral and salt down to draw the deer in. Being a newby trail cam guy, I didn't think about everything. lol I was just too excited to get it out there. I'll be headed off somewhere tomorrow to get that done.

I feel bad for the fellas trying to get their hands on a P41. For some reason they are worth gold now. No clue why. I got two of them about 2 months ago for right around $100/piece including shipping. Maybe some of you can comment on the S40's or some equivilant camera for others to get at a cheaper price, but will still be happy.

Thanks,
Pat
