I just got an email from the head of R&D at Darton with a Teaser about arrow speeds and KE.
Arrow Weight: 9000 grains
Arrow Velocity: 400 feet per sec.
Kinetic Energy: 3198.29 ft. lbs.
Apparently they've had a hard time getting enough arrow weight so they've used a carbon/Titanium rod the size and length of a pool cue. You have to sign an agreement that it won't be exported for fear of terrorists using it to launch a Transcontinental attack.
Elite has countered by saying it patented that cam 2 years ago and it's cam can send that same arrow around the world twice.
(Please forgive me for this. Once season starts this Saturday I will act better I promise.)
