looking at the bear strike, it appears it's basically a truth 2 with a different grip and about 8 fps slower. Is that the case basically.

I think your assumption is pretty close. It looks to be a little shorter ATA than the Truth 2 and the brace height on the Strike is longer. (Probably why it is slower). It looks to be a pretty good buy at $399.
