I'll be there.... I haven't decided in which class I shall be donating.Somewhat disappointed that the pro's and joes are now separated. It is now a very different tournament.

Hi Ken
We will do everything possible to keep the same archer-focused priorities. We are placing Pros and Amateurs on the same targets with one shooting AB(first) line and the other shooting CD(2nd) line whenever possible. This guarantees that Ams will shoot with Pros during the Qualification rounds without having to shoot directly against the Pros unless an archer wants to register Pro. I hope that helps. Thanks for your enthusiastic and loyal support of the Classic over the years. We were just too crowded last year in our own facility ranges, even with recent expansions. We had to either move the venue or limit entries and spectators...

Thanks for the clarification, Rob. I really enjoy the opportunity to shoot along side of the Pros during the qualifying rounds and the changes you made to add amateur classes and a larger shooting venue is going to add to the popularity of this already great tournament.

Very much looking forward to attending --my registration has already been sent in!!

You guys have always put on a fantastic and unique tournament. Where else do hacks like myself get put on a bale with Dave Cousins or the ever lovely Mrs. Starnes? I really hope amateurs continue to be grouped with pros.

The folks at LAS put on a tournament like no one else in this country. It is the one and only place where you actually shoot with the very best in the world!!!

This is by far my favorite event that I've ever attended. Last year was my first, and from now on, I doubt I'll ever miss it! I was lucky enough to win the 50/50, and a few great prizes from LAS. With all the food you get for your entry fee, and the shooting experience, I can say there is no better value in archery! I jumped all over the registration as soon as I could and I can't wait to get there and enjoy the experience again.

If you are on the fence about attending, get off it and register!

We've had archers asking about additional divisions including barebow, traditional or more youth classes in the LAS Classic. We would love to include classes for every archer, but we are maxed out on how many shootoffs we can hold on Sunday. We've added 4 divisions for this year and we need a year with this format to insure a great experience for everyone shooting. We are looking at several options to be able to add more classes next year. We're sorry to disappoint anyone due to being limited this year. Thank you.

New Barebow Recurve Division at the Lancaster Archery Classic- $1000 1st Place
Announcing a new Barebow Recurve division for the Lancaster Archery Classic that pays a guaranteed 1st place purse of $1,000!
We were sorry to have disappointed you and it wasn’t easy, but after months of effort, we were finally able to rearrange Sunday’s schedule to add a Barebow Recurve Division to the LAS Classic. We are crazy about shooting our recurves here and we want our Barebow shooting friends to be able to join us at the Classic. Payouts based on 20 Barebow Archers: 1st $1,000, 2nd $550, 3rd $350, 4th $200 with 1st guaranteed, others based on number of archers above/below 20. See the LAS Classic tabs on our website to register or for full details. http://www.lancasterarchery.com/archery-classic/

To include as many Barebow and Traditional Archers as possible, we’ll allow a unique combination of NFAA/FITA and ASA/IBO legal equipment for the Barebow Recurve Division that includes non-sighted archers of all ages and genders. Any non-sighted Recurve or Long bow can be used with or without a: Plunger, Arrow Rest, Single Stabilizer(no v-bars), String Clicker, Wrist Sling, Silencers and can be shot with any finger-released tab/glove method using single or multiple anchors or string walking. (Shooting Instinctive, Gapping, Walking the String and every archer in between are more than welcome)

The highlights of the format are to shoot 60 arrows at the 5-Color, 40cm Indoor Target face, scoring the tiny x-ring as an 11 for qualification on Friday or Saturday. I would expect that the top 8 BB archers will be ranked and shoot an Olympic bracket(#1vs#8, #2vs7, etc.) cutting the field to top 4 which will be re-ranked. Shoot-Up Eliminations with #4 vs#3, winner of that match vs #2, winner then vs #1 to determine champion. It's the most exciting format in competitive archery, now available to you.

Please e-mail John Wert at [email protected] with questions. For anyone who already registered(thank you) in the Men’s (Olympic) Recurve Division, we can easily change your division to Barebow Recurve.

Thank you so much to everyone who spoke to John or I about your interest in shooting a Barebow Division at the LAS Classic. You now have an opportunity to have a blast shooting for $1,000 1st place prize!

Yes, it would be the same but Saturday times will surely be sold out by then. That's the advantage to early registration.
Thanks! Rob
