Here is my review of the 2019 Xpedition Mako X.
I was very anxious to shoot this bow! With this Mako being a 30in draw I expected it to draw a bit harder as I draw 29. I was really surprised as it came back nice and steady. I did not notice the additional inch in draw. The Mako X draws smooth with no hump and dump as people like to describe it. The Mako reaches max poundage 8.5in into the draw cycle maintaining weight within 1# of max for another 9.5in gradually losing poundage over the last 5in. The bow settles in and holds very nice and solid at full draw. In my opinion is has a nice and adequate valley at 80% let off.
The grip on the Mako like on all Xpeditions isn’t too small or large. It has a nice flat back that’s sits nice and consistent.
I shoot bows all the time and one thing that caught my attention was how quiet the bow was. I have heard time and time again shooting light arrows results in a loud bow. I don’t know how anyone could say the Mako X is loud while shooting a light 325gr arrow.
At the shot the bow is as dead as you could want. I shot this Mako over and over and it never wanted to take off on me at full draw nor did I become fatigued.

If you have been curious about the Mako X I hope this review sheds some light on what this bow can do.
Do not let this bows BH scare you. The Mako X is a flat out smooth shooter that’s easy to shoot. You will not shoot this bow long before you will forget its BH.
If I can help any of you with a new Mako X please let me know.
