Good afternoon guys. Many of you have been asking for my review on the 2021 Xpedition X33.

Here is my review of the new 2021 Xpedition X33.

Right out of the box I noticed the lighter weight of the bow. It feels lighter but not too light. Another thing that stood out was this year‘s riser along with the cams. They have a very matte finish with no sheen. Hunters should really like this feature heading into the woods.

The overall look of the X33 is very nice amd sleek with many cutouts.

After looking the bow over I went to work setting up the bow getting it tuned and ready for testing. The X33 draws very nice and steady all the way through. It has no big hump and dump as many like to refer to it.

The bows draw cycle reaches peak poundage about 6 inches into the draw cycle maintaining that weight for about 5-6 inches then gradually tapering off until reaching a very solid back wall.

At full draw the bow holds very nice without any significant movement right/left, forward/backwards at the shot. At the shot the bot feels very nice with just a slight bit of vibration and his hunting woods quite.

A bows grip is important to lay shooters. The X33 grip feels very nice with a nice flat back (9/16in wide) allowing the bow to sit nicely at full draw without having to fish for a comfortable grip. There are no side plates on this grip and have several cut outs on the inside.

Now on to what most of you guys want to see, the tuning specs.

(Bow was tuned w-loop and 3/16 peep)

Thanks for the review, appreciate the time and effort. Could you should it back to back, same arrow, same set up, against another bow? Maybe a well know bow such as a VXR or RX4.

if you look on Kevin’s Facebook page you can see lots of other bows that he has set up with the same info provided for the X33. For instance there is an Elite Kure that shows a calculated IBO of 332 which is in line with what others have reported.

I shot the X30 and felt like it was one of the smoother drawing bows. I’m in the market for a bow as well and have shot a a lot of different ones. I think most companies this year have engineered a very smooth drawing bow, with the new Hoyts being the smoothest in my opinion. I really like the PSE Evolve cam and really any of the flagship Bowtechs have been awesome the last several years.

I shot the X30 and felt like it sat in the edge of the valley and wanted to pull away from you if you relaxed a little bit. Granted I wasn’t shooting with my normal release so it felt uncomfortable already. Is that something that you maybe felt with the X33 or do you think if I use my personal release that I won’t feel that as much. My bow shop still hasn’t got any in but I’ve definitely been interested in this bow due to how light it is compared to aluminum and even the PSE Mach 1. I’m also liking the price point compared to the carbon bows on the market.

The cams can be adjusted for more valley. At least that’s how the hybrids have traditionally worked. You may lose a bit of speed but cams can be set for what you like.

I shot the 33" today.

Nice overall. Actually thought it would feel lighter.

Some buzz after shot.... but no goodies on it. Stock limb silencers... ok... BowJax would really help there.

Also... Sims string stop end. Also better out there.

Thanks for the Great Review, How does it compare to the Mach 1?
