I have a 2022 Bear adapt 55-70 #, with the stock cable slide. The serving, that runs into the slide, is starting to fray.
I looked at the new 2023 Bear Adapt + and saw a much cleaner and smoother roller based cable slide.

I called Bear Archery to order one and the service guy told me Bear DOESN'T sell them to the public, you have to order one thru a retailer. So I went by my local Bear Bow Retailer, Gellco in Fort Smith, and the young sales lad told me that when I get one he would put it on. I said can you order me one and he said no.

Has anyone changed their Adapt stock cable slide with a different one, and if so which ones fit the Adapt? Bear Archery said only theirs fits the Adapt.

So confusing for something so simple.

PSE's are all over the web to purchase by anyone.

Ive ran a PSE and Saunders both
I have a 2022 adapt
I ran all last year with the PSE
Changed strings
Switched to the saunders

Either works fine
I went to saunders only because I sold the PSE I was borrowing the roller from

.30/06 Outdoors also sells a cable roller that looks very similar to whats on the 2023 Adapt+

Did you serve your string, where the slide runs through?
Was told on this and other forums you have to serve your strings when using a roller slide.

I did not. Even unserved the roller is much easier on cables than the stock slide is. Not saying they shouldn’t be served for long term but I shot my stock strings an entire season unserved through a roller. To each their own here. I generally replace strings yearly.

Get them served, it takes one mishap for the buscables to get cut on the roller edge! Which is why all bows with roller guides have served Bus cables!
