This is for timing only correct?
Hard to say. There is an adjuster on both the top and bottom cams. Seems like you could tighten or loosen both of them in unison to add or reduce cable tension a bit. That may have the desired effect on draw length. We will have to wait until people play with these new adjustments to see if they in fact work as theory suggests.

I shot the 36 this afternoon. Unfortunately, I shoot lefty and the shop only had a RH demo bow. I only shot 2 arrows just to get a feel of the draw cycle and movement of the bow / vibration with the shot. The cams were set in comfort with draw weight set to 52 lbs. which is my usual draw weight. The draw felt quite smooth but there was definitely resistance right from the beginning of the draw.

The bow felt very quiet when releasing the shot. The bow was bare, no stabilizers, sights, or anything other than a whisker biscuit and the included shock absorbers. On the shot, there was a quiet but audible thump that I also felt but it was a pleasant sound and feeling overall. There was no aftershock or vibration.

Overall, the bow felt light and easy to hold, but of course it would be heavier when fully equipped with stabilizers, etc.

I was very impressed with the bow and put in an order for a LH bow. I was told it will be 4-5 weeks for delivery so of course I will post a follow up once I get the bow.

Is the reason they didn't do 1/4" adjustments because you would have so many spots you would have to decrease the draw range to make them all fit on the cam?
It appears that the draw length is controlled by the position of the draw stop on the cam. Based on the photos, the holes that the draw stop screws go into are already very close together. Likely there is not room to provide holes close enough together to allow for 1/4" adjustment increments.

Definitely could happen but as of now she has only ordered 36's as she thinks they will suite her better.
I will be very interested to see Paige's experience with the 36. I just ordered a 36 as I am a bit shorter than average (height and draw length) and my current bow at 38.75" ATA feels a bit too large.

Not sure where you get your info but mine came from her mouth live videos.
She prep the 39 day of her 36 setup video phone died she went in copied the 36 to the 39. Next day only limited shooting due to windy conditions. Both bows went to Chile shot the 39 during unofficial practice chose to stick with the 36 until more time behind both.
Below for those with FB.

Not to start an argument, but I followed the facebook link and listened to Paige explain that she has a "grey bow and a blue bow." She said "people ask is one a 36 and one a 39" and her answer was "no, they are identical", but "the blue bow is shooting better" for her despite the fact that they are both set up exactly the same. Perhaps she mentioned a 39 in some other place, but not in this clip.

Dudes! I‘ve ordered the last 36 a good week ago here in Europe and it seems she will knock on my door friday afternoon🫣 it was an online order since there is no chance to shoot bowtech less than 5h drive. So excited to get her in my hands:)
Very exciting. Please post details once you have it all set up.

Some of us in the US are not much better off in terms of test shooting. A local shop 30 minutes from my home did have a test bow, but being left handed, there is a limited amount of testing one can do with a right handed bow ;-).

Can I ask your current draw length?

I shot them both naked. They both jump forward but yes, I believe the 36” was more noticeable. Maybe that’s due to purely size/weight?
I ordered the 36 as my draw length is between 26" and 26.5". I already have a bow where I am at the shortest available draw length and I wanted something a bit smaller / lighter with a draw length range that better suits me.

When I shot the 36 naked (granted it was a RH bow and I am a LH shooter), it felt pretty stable. I did not notice any significant jump. I did not try the 39, so I cannot compare.

Wow, the bow came in:)
But 1st thing I saw, the manual is not worth anything, which is sad because this bow can be bought online with no need of a pro shop.. it even tells to visit a pro shop for tuning:/ Bowtech… you can do it better than this.
I think Bowtech has not finished writing the actual manual. On their website in the downloads section there is a link for the manual, but it says "coming soon." Hopefully the manual will be as complete and informative as were the manuals for the first generation Reckonings.

One thing I keep forgetting to add to my previous posts. I weighed the Gen2 36 as-received at 4.9 lbs on my scale with the 2 orbit dampers attached. Here is the comparison with my Reckoning:
  • Gen2 36 with 2 orbit dampers - 4.9 lbs (advertised at 4.6 lbs)
  • Reckoning with 1 orbit damper - 4.7 lbs (advertised at 4.6 lbs)

I don't know if the advertised weights include the orbit dampers or not but my weights appear pretty close compared to other manufacturers.
Great updates, thanks.

Beyond your objective information, what are your subjective impressions of the bow? How does it feel when shooting? Have you found a very comfortable setting for the grip angle? Does it seem to hold well on target? Is it noisy? Is there much vibration? My current bow vibrates enough that various things rattle loose over the course of 30 arrows, so I am very interested in finding a quieter bow.

I have a question on the rotating Modul. I might be just stupid but i really don’t get it.
Here is my setup:
DL 28.5“
50lbs max draw weight
Letoff 60% (I’m experimenting with more holding weight since i would like to add more weights in general)
In this setup the valley is super short and would like to add more valley without changing holding weight.
How do I do that. I have read the old reckoning manual but it doesnt clue me up.
Could somebody explain?
I could be wrong as I don't yet have the bow or the instruction manual. However, based on the draw weight curves posted in this thread, I don't think you can separate let off from size of valley. Specifically, the holding weight goes down as you pull further into the valley. Thus, it seems like increasing the holding weight means reducing the size of the valley.

I am very interested to see if there is another answer.

As a light-hearted aside, Paige Pearce just won the Pan Am World Archery tournament (including beating world champ Sara Lopez) with the Reckoning 36 G2 (medium cam). In the interest of a good relationship with her sponsor, she might want to tone down her comments to the effect of "I won despite not being used to or liking the feel of my new bow" and perhaps switch to "I was pleasantly surprised at how well my new bow performed given the very limited time I had to set it up and get used to it."

Just saying ;-)

I just watched her against Toja Ellison in the field championships and it didn't look like she was shooting a g2.

When was that competition? She made clear that the Pan Am was the first competition in which she was shooting the new bow and she only had about 2 days before that competition to set up the new bow. Thus, it is unlikely she was using this new bow in any prior competition.

Also looks more like a 39 than a 36

That event took place the beginning of October, at least a month before the Reckoning Gen 2 was introduced. Thus, of course Paige was not shooting the new unreleased bow at that time. Take a look at the Pan Am video and you will see that she is shooting a blue Reckoning 36 Gen 2.

Ok didn't realize it was that long ago as it just came onto my subscriptions a couple days ago. Do you have a link to the Pan am games?

Paige's solo competition starts around 1:08. Earlier you can see her win bronze with Jimmy Lutz in the team competition.

Full results available at the world archery site, but it is very difficult to navigate.

There are 2 recent facebook video posts discussing set up for the Reckoning Gen 2. First, Paige Pearce announced that she has finally figured out why she was having problems keeping the bow steady at full draw. She claims that the Gen 2 with its standard string stops creates a back wall that is too firm for her. As a result, as she increases her back tension in her shot cycle, it pulls the bow sufficiently to cause her sight picture to move around. Here is a link to her video with her solution: I made some big progress on the Reckoning Gen 2, so I wanted to share with you guys what made a difference for me! Bowtech INC. | By Paige Pearce | Facebook

Second, Bowtech has posted a video explaining how to use and adjust the Deadlock cam system: DeadLock tuning is so easy. | DeadLock Cam System Just move the cams left or right on the axles with a turn of a screw to position all the energy directly behind the arrow. Then lock... | By Bowtech INC. | Facebook
