Does anybody Use a 2X scope for bowhunting? I just set up a hoyt alphamax with an Apex Axim sight, withOUT the adjustable bracket. has anybody used a stationary 2x scope? Is it beneficial? what size peep would work best for this? hoyt alphamax 32", 28" draw, 72 lbs. Any Imput on this new setup would be amazing, thanks.

Let it be known that I Live in wyoming and would most likely be taking fairly long range desert shots for most of my game. sight has a 1.8" inner diameter and .010 size pins. any previous experience with this kind of setup would be great

I used a 3x scope for 3-d all year. It was hardly noticable when you shoot it all the time. The only disadvantages is if it is raining, your screwed, if the sun is at the right angle, you get an evil glare that makes it very difficult to do anything. In 3-d i'd have to have someone hold an umbrella over me to block the sun. I would be hesitant to take it into the deer woods, but i'm sure someone else will contradict what I just said.
