For hunting arrows, I have found that 4 fletch carry a broadness better than 3 fletch. You will also find that Feathers will perform better than Vanes (with Broadheads). My hunting arrows have 4-2" Blazer vanes and fly great.
I have shot the Mini Blazers in a 4-fletch configuration on both fat shafts and hunting arrows and that's a good combination as long as you have a drop away.
I shoot a 490 grain shaft which carrys a 160 gr Zwickey Eskimo. I uses three 2" blazers and get perfect arrow flight. I'm sure that 4 blazers would also give me perfect arrow flight.
