Anyone have 4 blazers on their arrows? Thinking about trying it and wondering how good they're working.

I did it on all my hunting arrow last year and can't honestly say I could tell a difference between 3 and 4. This year I've gone back to 3, might as well save some vanes.

I shoot 4 blazers and have found I get a bit more stability with large fixed blade broadheads. Yes, it costs a few grains and a few $, but worth it to me.

just more chance of having to repair fletching from grouping too tight:darkbeer:

my main reason for switching! 3 work just as well on most heads. There may be some advantage to 4 if you use a large (over 1 1/8" ) fixed blade heads.

I tried 6 on my 2512s this year. 2 in line with each other on a strong helical spaced at 120 degrees. I also shoot 125gr SteelForce broadheads which most of my friends call "trial spades". I tend to agree and like all the control I can get. Still have 11.6% FOC.

Overkill?...yep
2 X $$?...yep
Quiet in flight?...yep
Stable?...unbelievable
Change?...if it ain't broke...

I've got 4 mini Blazers on some of my arrows(as an experiment) and they fly right with they same arrow with 3 2" Blazers out to 40 yards, then they actually start hitting a little higher. Three 2" Blazers=16 grains(they're a little heavier than advertised), four 1.5" Mini Blazers=12 grains.

They will work just fine with FBBH's like Slick Tricks or Stingers.

I was thinking about doing the same thing, to gain some clearance from cables and rest

Thanks so much for posting that. I goofed on an order last year and have a pack of 100 mini Blazers by mistake. I've been wondering about how they'd work in a four fletch on broadheads.

I also have tight vane clearance on my Old Glory...this may be the ticket on this bow.

Thanks
