Not for me personally.

I'll invest in boots. I've got a pair of Danners that's going on 10 years.
I had Rocky snake boot that lasted for 10 years. Waterproof for 8. By year 10 the sole split off. I wore them everyday spring Gobbler hunting, and most of Archery season.

If a retailer had them in stock. Id check them out.

I've been running Muck or Lacrosse for 20 year. They're 150.00 now for some form of neoprene or rubber that if I get 2 years out of them I'm doing well. Have a pair of Arctic Ice on their 2nd season. Had a pair Muck pursuits last that long.

If the Sitka boots made of laminated gore-tex hold up long enough we'd be money ahead, don't think you could justify the purchase another way.

Expensive gamble! Big fan of Sitka clothing personally, but I’ll be sticking with Mucks.

I have my outdoor footware covered from lots of years of trial and some error, but the same can be said about the pricing of Crispi, Hanwag, Lowa and other premium brands of boots. Folks buy them based on reputation and some find they are uncomfortable on their feet, but paid a lot of them and going to suffer through it or leave them in the box in the closet. Who has even tried on a pair of these Sitka boots to offer an informed opinion? Maybe they are cashing in on their clothing reputation and maybe they are on to something.....but bashing before you have even seen or heard of them being used is premature in the extreme.

Won't be long now, some whipper snapper on youtube wanting to be famous will have a pair on, along with his sitka vest and bino harness, trying to tell you in his less than one years experience how to grip and tune the new carbon bow his mom and dad bought him, how and where to hang your stand and trail cameras along with a pile of corn, because he doesn't really know the difference between rabbit and deer poop, turkey scratching and deer feeding sign.

There is a scenario where they are worth the price. These are going to be more geared towards the eastern whitetail/turkey guy for hunting. If they do breathe enough to keep feet drier and in turn warmer on hike into the stand, while at the same time being durable enough to out last something like Alphaburly Pros by a couple of seasons they will justify their price. Time will tell.

Breathability is the most overrated thing I hear about boots, in my experience, and I bet the breathability on these boots is nil. You can’t make it waterproof one way, and breathable enough the other way, for it to matter. It’s just a sales gimmick, and people will fall for it. Some people will convince themselves otherwise, just because they want to believe it.

These Sitka boots retain none of the advantages of a rubber/neoprene boot while having none of the advantages of a leather gore tex lace up boot. That fabric or gore tex exterior will retain odor and the gore tex will fail and you'll have clunky non-lacing boots slipping on your feet.

Surprised??

This is the same company that charges $60 for a thin short sleeve polyester base layer tee. Literally the exact same thing as a $10 poly tee u can buy at Walmart etc.

Hell they’re prolly more now. This price was many years ago….
I saw a hunter crying along the trail. I thought he was overcome with the beauty of nature or had a family tragedy. No, he said "I just kicked an old barbed wire fence and tore my Sitka $200 polyester cargo pants." I understood and left him to his grief.

Looks like a wader material, I’m curious i may just be that one who will give it a go. I was going to buy a new pair of rubber boots anyway however, I was not planning on spending that kindd of money.

my insurance will increase for sure.
